I will be speaking with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his team this week to discuss Starshield, sanctions, and other matters pertaining to the defense of our strong ally, Ukraine. I will be assuring President Zelenskyy that anyone who attempts to limit the use of Starshield for Ukraine will be fully investigated and will be held fully accountable, to include public congressional oversight hearings, and immediate harsh and punitive budget cuts to any responsible agency or agency head. Congress will unequivocally reaffirm that Ukraine is an indispensable ally to the United States, that Russia is a self-declared enemy of the United States, and that the United States will 100% support and defend the people of Ukraine in their fight for their own freedom against this brutal, illegal, and unprovoked Russian invasion. The United States must provide any and all defensive equipment that Ukraine needs to defend itself. The United States must not import a single drop of Russian oil. Sanctions against the Russian regime must be harsher and stronger than they’ve ever been before. Each and every one of these items will be brought to the House Floor—and each and every one of these items will pass on the House Floor by an overwhelming margin. This is, after all, what Ronald Reagan would do. And this is what we will do now. Ukraine can, and will, defeat Russia. #PeaceThroughStrength

Trump says that Russia “frankly, has been fine on Ukraine. They haven't been doing much." Notably, a Russian strike on a park in Ukraine's Kharkiv Oblast today killed six people, including three children.

Interceptor drones aren’t working properly because Starlink isn’t.
Replying to @JimmySecUK
Three children are now confirmed killed in the Russian jet-powered drone strike on the park in Nova Vodolaha, Kharkiv Oblast. If Ukraine's interceptor drones had been working normally, there is a chance these children would still be alive.

Putin has proposed talks with Trump & Xi in China to negotiate Ukraine’s future without Ukraine. The proposal follows Trump's decision to ease Russian diesel sanctions, waive congressional sanctions and pressure Kyiv to halt strikes on Russian refineries.

Trump ran on cutting taxes. But once tariffs are counted, his policies are raising taxes and costs this year for every income group except the richest 1%, per a new report from the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy. The reason: tariffs, which are largely passed on to consumers as higher prices, outweigh the tax cuts for most Americans. Even the right-leaning Tax Foundation calls the tariffs the largest U.S. tax increase as a share of GDP since 1993.

This has been Putin's dream for years: That his country, with GDP per capita lower than Poland, unable to conquer Donbas since 2014, will be treated as an equal to the US and China. wsj.com/world/russia/putin-f…

The US is delaying the shipment to Ukraine of a large batch of already paid for Patriot interceptor missiles, - Kyiv Independent reports This comes as Russia launches one of its largest bombing campaigns against Ukrainian civilians, ahead of a winter meant to plunge our cities into a humanitarian disaster by destroying our civilian infrastructure.

Too clever by half. He correctly notes that Ukraine cannot give up its fortress belt because that'd give the Russians a "straight shot into Kyiv." Yet he insists the war is just about 11% of territory. No, the lie is in his explanation: Putin wants the 11% at the negotiating table because he cannot take it on the battlefield; and he wants it because it gives him another opportunity to make a play for Kyiv at a later date. The Russians don't want to end the war, they want the U.S. to create the more amenable conditions for the continuation of the war in future. The tragedy of Rubio is that he's in better command of the facts than anyone else in this administration but he nonetheless ends up acting a mouthpiece for policies he knows are wrong.
Rubio: The war in Ukraine is about one region, Donetsk. Russia occupies all but about 11% of it. Ukraine's line there is its last defensible one: beyond it, a straight shot into Kyiv. Russia demands all of Donetsk, including that line, as its definition of victory. 1/

President Trump’s decision to waive sanctions against Russia as Putin continues his brutal war of aggression against Ukraine dishonors the legacy of the late Senator Lindsey Graham and is decidedly not in the national interests of the United States and should be reversed. Putin is a war criminal and only understands strength. Waiving Graham Act sanctions on Russia signals weakness at a moment that demands American strength. Now is the time to stand strong against Russian aggression, just as we did during the years of the first Trump Administration. A victory in Ukraine would be a victory for freedom and is squarely in the national interests of the United States. If Putin overruns Ukraine, I have no doubt it will only be a matter of time until Russia’s military crosses a border that our troops will have to deal with him. For the cause of freedom, for America’s national security and that of our allies including Ukraine, President Trump should Restore sanctions under the Graham Act immediately, Rescind the diesel deal with Russia and Rally our Allies to ensure Ukraine has the military support it needs to repel and defeat this Russian invasion once and for all. So the guy who birthed the idea of slowing down Starlink to aid Russia—a decision that resulted in death and risk to US personnel in Ukraine—is also the biggest donor to the Republican party and is single-handedly trying to tilt the Texas Senate race to the GOP. I have that right?

Ukraine can't destroy Gazprom's pipelines because doing so inconveniences German consumers. Ukraine can't hit Russian refineries because that inconveniencs US consumer. Russia, on the other hand, can destroy Ukraine's energy grid because it inconveniences no one. Shameful.

Helping Putin in Ukraine is reckless. He would not stop with Ukraine and our NATO allies would be next. Putin is fanatically committed to restoring Russia’s glory days, calling the collapse of the Soviet Union “the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the century” and claiming Russia was "robbed" in the breakup.

Four sources identify Elon Musk as personally proposing Starshield restrictions to Trump, while three officials trace the order to the White House. Ukraine received no warning. Its interceptor drones were disrupted as Russia launched hundreds of drones and dozens of ballistic missiles. Whether this was deliberate sabotage remains unresolved.
Elon Musk reportedly proposed restrictions that crippled Ukraine’s Starshield drone defences during Russian attacks. Other sources traced the order to the White House. The deliberate slowdown raises questions about possible sabotage of Ukraine’s defences.

Frankly, hand on heart, I think Trump is going to come to a very bad end, possibly even before January 2029. And not simply because of the vile things he is doing to Ukraine. This is something much bigger than that. There is a gigantic difference between being evil and being stupidly evil. No longer capable of controlling himself or his wild antics, he is digging his own grave at breakneck speed and dragging a great many others down with him.
