Iβve spent the majority of my life in the following fields:

Education
Social Work

Iβm tapping into all of these worlds to bring @cycol_gallery 2.0 to life. Itβs not something you can fake or buy your way into. Itβs years of building trust, respect, and maintaining relationships that is allowing this to happen. The folks Iβm reaching out to genuinely rock with us and want to do cool shit together. Itβs organic and brings with it levels of intention and integrity, something we at times see lacking in this web3 space we occupy. Itβs my firm belief that Cycol 2.0 is going to turn some heads. Excited to show yβall soon.

Glad you had a great time last week at the gallery @CREATEDXGAWD! Cycol has plans for all art forms to be represented, both traditional and digital, combined with a large activation of educational components. Director @JTLissPhotoArt was an educator in NYC for over 18 years prior to web3, has a legal vendor license through the DOE, and is writing an entire curriculum to have students learn about art, tech, and web3. We are meeting non-web3 people where they are at, and providing a memorable experience that just happens to run on @solana rails. With the majority of people who attend our events being non web3 folks, weβve been able to spark curiosity without shoving web3 down peopleβs throats.
With this most recent exhibition, a globally recognized traditional artists, Bisco Smith, minted his work for the first time and created digital art for the first time. A previous legendary graffiti artist, Sen2, sold his first minted piece ever with us, along with trad artist Greg Frederick selling a few minted works. These are big steps for onboarding, but more importantly retention.
Combining and collaborating with others is priority for us. Last week for NFT NYC we had Bisco exhibiting, while the Biz Markie estate had a museum of Bizβs artifacts in the lower level gallery. Web3 folks, web2 folks, the hip hop community, and enjoyers of all, all in the same room together, connecting. This is how we want to continue to do things and are expanding our model to reflect these kinds of experiences. Both communities are needed and our team and the respect we have in both worlds, ensures this is possible on a regular basis.

This one is bittersweet. After an incredible run with @bonk_inu, a run that spanned over two years, I will be stepping aside to run @cycol_gallery.
We did some incredible things together. With Exchange Art we led with an artist first mentality, and with a team of over 20 artists employed during a bear market, we guided the charge in bringing a fractured Solana art community together. And we did it with action. Collaborative exhibitions all over the world, the Art Lead partnership with @SolanaEvents to bring more art activations to Breakpoint, Accelerate, Hacker Houses, and all other global events, established grants programming supporting and empowering hundreds of creatives, and the birth of something incredibly special in Cycol Gallery, @solanaβs very own brick and mortar gallery.
The good news in all of this is that BONK will continue to support Cycol moving forward. BONK has supported the arts on Solana since day one and they will continue because they give a damn.
Cycol Gallery is officially transfered under my business, Tascbar Creative Solutions Inc. It's my baby now. Iβm feeling equal parts excited and terrified to fully own this next era and start building Cycol 2.0. More on this very soon.
Thank you to @TheOnlyNom for changing my life. You said it was me who did it, but entrusting me to lead BONK Art Masters allowed for me to grow in ways I could have never imagined. Thank you to @iamkadense for your mentorship and most importantly your friendship, and Mac for inspiring me to dream big. Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey thus far β the artists, the collectors, the team, and the community. I couldnβt have gotten here without you. I may no longer be at BONK, but having the gallery still be powered by Solana and BONK will allow us to continue doing great things here at Cycol. I'm ready for this next chapter and I'm proud to have The Dog running alongside me still. Let's BONK.

Big thanks to our friends at @heft_gallery for doing this with us, to @ART__NYC as artists, collectives, galleries, patrons, and many others came together this year for our love of art to create something important in uniting us all.
And big thank you to the Biz Markie Estate for allowing us to host such important historical artifacts from one of Hip Hopβs true legends. Tara, Bizβs wife, and Archie (director of the estate) were in attendance both nights this week enthusiastically telling Bizβs story. Thank you for that.
To the Cycol Gallery team of @lampwrecked_ and @lowbrownative, Jay (security) and Angie (photographer) for all of their help last night.

Short clip of interacting with my latest work the spaces in between. On the minted piece you can hit the audio button to hear the movements of the shifting planes tuned to a deep Lydian scale. Hit the randomizer button to change the rules about which contrast point causes plane fracture as well as how they are animated. There is a reset button as well.
I am still searching for the language to explain it in less technical terms... maybe its an interactive digital sculpture system?
