Every startup would secretly admit how much of a pain the "slop grenade" problem is. Bold of Tobi to say it out loud. Everyone else is dealing with the same thing: balancing output volume, quality, and confusion about who's responsible for what comes out. Keep holding people accountable for their actual work. The quality vs productivity pressure works itself out when accountability is clear.

new post: the senior engineer death spiral sunilpai.dev/posts/the-senio… a friend just started a big job and asked for some advice. so I braindumped a monologue about a super common failure mode I see with engineers and posted it here, hope it helps whoever it can.

When I get rich, these will be the signs
Our house in Toronto had this fancy glassed wine cellar, but we are not big wine drinkers. Anyways, it had good climate control so here is my rack cellar.

another one, let's go @EffectTS_ !
Replying to @zeeg @matteocollina
I am getting on the effect train. Being able to track what errors can happen and if they are all handled is something that I am sure you can eventually get an LLM to do, or you can do it in less than a second and it's 100% reproducible.

"Which chat did we solve that in?" I built transcripts-mcp so your coding agent can search past Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex conversations. Find old implementations, recover decisions, and bring context across tools. Search runs locally. transcriptsmcp.dev/

I only ever tinkered with custom FiveM servers for friends, and seeing what the NoPixel team has managed to squeeze out of this game gives me ridiculous FOMO. This looks like such a fun engineering playground.

"AI is overhyped and labs are lying about the capabilities"
Yo! Wish me luck!!! 🤞 "I am going to bed now, so keep going until you get PC control" We will see tomorrow: 1. wake up to popped calc 2. wake up to some random company being pwned

i think people running a dozen differently named agents want to play house more than they want to get shit done im not sure you can load up a single agent with _all_ concerns, but you certainly can make them more effective than what many people are doing

8 days ago, while jogging, I asked Claude to solve the Riemann Hypothesis It didn’t. 1.5 days later, it proved >= 67% of the zeros are on the line (prev: 41.6%) Still not sure what that means, but some analytic number theorists seem excited anthropic.com/research/riema…
