New account is active.
Handle in bio :)
This isn’t goodbye, this is just me building a new account based on my new direction.
Basically, just my life and whatever I’m doing currently.
Starting a new account seemed more sensible than trying to rekindle this one.
Take care
Oh lord I forgot I bought a bear on abstract chain lmao. So what happens to these mfers?
The fallout is insane
But I’ll bridge to wherever the bears go next
This is the crazy thing about crypto though. Not everyone gets a chance to recover funds if chains shutdown
Abstract was a shot at lowering the barrier of entry for the general consumer.
Either it was poorly executed or the market just isn’t large enough for that.
Plus, users already have a great solution, Coinbase
Curiouser and curiouser
My new account won’t succeed unless I have a strategy.
On this account I didn’t have a strategy. I sort of stumbled into Cardano after finding a post on reddit.
I did execute the strategy though (more or less) without realizing it.
I obsessed over Cardano for years….
And then obsessed over defi at the tail end
So the strategy was, at its heart, obsession
I just have carry over that obsession to the new account.
But, just like this account, I’m gonna end up putting out hundreds of posts that get zero likes and 5 views (from bots lol)
it's been refreshing posting on my new account with almost no followers lol.
if you enjoyed what i've posted on this account then you'll enjoy what i post over there
not trying to be anything special. just posting what i learn and my thought process as i build my media company
Worth noting I’ve been thinking about this for a while and I’ve tried posting here for months without any results.
It’s better if I switch and start new
I appreciate those who’ve followed me since the beginning
I feel like if you want to do something, you can absolutely find ways to make it happen
I asked this 19 year old I work with at my job.
Basically i said “if you could have any job in the world what would it be?”
And he said YouTuber.
I guess because of the flexibility and freedom or something
So then I asked him what’s stopping him from doing that right now?
I don’t remember what his exact answer was but it was something like “yeah not much is stopping me”
And I guess this is always a good question to ask ourselves
Like, there’s not much that’s out of reach with a little planning and commitment.
Wanna travel the world but you’re broke? There’s probably a way you can do that on a shoe string budget
It’s “I can figure this out” vs. “I can’t do this because a, b, and c”
I was told to stop making cookie videos.
So here’s another cookie video in honor of that comment
Eating a cookie on the top floor of the garage
For the second time this year…
the thought of starting a new account has returned
Been trying to grow for months on my new content but I’m not seeing results on this account
Maybe it’s better if I start a new one and just keep this as an archive
So I’m gonna run a test
If it works I’m gonna make the change and sunset this account
It’s been a good run
Met a lot of great people but it’s time to fully embrace my new interests
Crypto was cool but for many reasons, both personal and otherwise, I changed early this year
And it’s no hate, I love ya’ll. But I gotta move on
But we’ll see after a run a few tests
I’ll still be Opti. I’ll still love coffee.
I’ve had a couple of ideas where I bike across my area (it’s pretty big btw)
Or where I do X thing in X amount of time.
But it’s gotta be challenging. Like very
Already filmed something where I bike to every station in my area (releasing soon) but I think I can scale that up to make it cooler
Anyway, I have plenty of ideas to try but the only question is, are they cool enough?
We’ll see
I really wanna do some cool short videos. Any suggestions?
Something that’s cool but can be done in a relatively short amount of time
Anything challenge related preferably but I’ll take any suggestion
Yesterday I decided to slack off and watch Breaking Bad lol
No recording or editing
I noticed that recently I haven’t allowed myself to relax and enjoy something
Which is definitely the cost of working towards something outside of work hours.
The irony though is it’s hard to be creative if I don’t allow my mind space to think and enjoy things.
Which is why I have an entire spreadsheet of ideas, it acts as a buffer.
Especially when my body is drained from a busy work day. I walk about 20k steps on a busy shift….thats incredibly draining lol
So I suppose one day is fine.
Hustlers will be like “other people’s days off are when I get ahead and win”
But I think there’s a big caveat to that
So yeah, one day is okay ☕️
I realized I missed one cookie post lol. I really have to automate this
Anyway, I kept it simple today
Went across the street
day 2 of tapping the reward machine until i win the $50 prize.
idk how long this is gonna take lmao
kudos to the grocery store for gamifying their shopping experience though
insane way to keep people coming back
