Are you aware #Congress has fielded the lowest number of Muslim candidates in its history for a Lok Sabha election, in 2024? Just 18 candidates of 304 declared so far, or 5.6%? How have you confronted this invisibilisation of #Muslims in the ticket-distribution process, within the party? Why did you fail to ensure better numbers? ❓2. While you are nominated as a Rajya Sabha MP from #Maharashtra, why has #Congress not fielded a single Muslim candidate from that entire state, despite seats with a sizeable Muslim presence? What is your stand on this issue as a nominated member from the same state, and in your capacity as Head of the #AICC Minority Cell? ❓3. For the first time since 1952, Congress has not fielded a single Muslim candidate from Rajasthan. What effort did you make to preserve the tradition of always having one Muslim candidate from #Rajasthan, in your capacity? ❓4. Have you (or your department) formally objected within party platforms against the nomination of proven communalists such as Ajay Nishad (Muzaffarpur) and Lal Singh (Udhampur) as #Congress candidates? ❓5. What has been your role in at least lobbying for or questioning ticket distribution in other states such as #Delhi, #MP, #Gujarat and #TamilNadu where not a single Muslim candidate has been fielded by Congress?
