PRESS RELEASE OYO POLICE ARREST THREE SUSPECTS OVER VIRAL VIDEO OF ASSAULT ON TRUCK DRIVERS AT KARMA AGRIC The Oyo State Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with a viral video showing the alleged assault of two truck drivers at Karma Agric Feeds and Foods Limited, located at Kilometer 12, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ibadan. The suspects comprise two security operatives attached to the company and an Indian national. The Command’s attention was drawn to the video on Tuesday, 13th October 2026, at about 0830 hours, prompting the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, CP Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbenga, psc, mnips, to direct detectives to identify and apprehend all persons involved for investigation. Preliminary findings indicate that the confrontation stemmed from a disagreement over the parking of a truck that had delivered goods to the company on Saturday. According to the truck owner, Akinpelu Sarafa, male, aged 47, the driver objected to a designated parking spot over concerns that it could damage the truck’s tyres. However, he was reportedly compelled to park there, and one of the tyres subsequently burst. The disagreement reportedly intensified when the driver requested a replacement tyre, but the company declined. In response, the driver allegedly used his truck to block the company’s entrance, triggering a physical confrontation involving the drivers, security operatives and an Indian national. The two victims have been identified as Ridwan Olajide, male, aged 34, and Taiwo Yinusa, male, aged 37. Both were admitted to a hospital in the Academy area of Ibadan for medical attention. As part of efforts to establish the facts, the Investigating Police Officer visited them at the hospital and obtained their statements. Following the police intervention, three suspects were arrested: Olowu Oluwadamilare and Sodeke Olamide, both male security operatives attached to the company, and Harjit Singh, an Indian national, male, aged 46, associated with the company. Investigations are ongoing to establish their respective roles in the incident and determine the culpability of all parties involved. The case has been transferred to the Special Enquiry Bureau (SEB), Eleyele, Ibadan, for further investigation and necessary action in accordance with the law. The Oyo State Police Command reiterates its commitment to protecting lives and property and ensuring that the law applies equally to all individuals and organisations. Members of the public are urged to remain calm and allow the investigation to proceed, as anyone found culpable will be dealt with in accordance with the law. Abike Dabiri sponsored a bill to suppress press freedom as a lawmaker She sponsored an Anti-media bill in the past saharareporters.com/2009/11/… Daily Trust 13 Dec 2009 Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa reported news and aired views on Nigeria Television Authority before she became a legislator. It is disturbing her that journalism is not fully developed as a profession that the practitioners will be proud of. It is also a cause for concern that journalists are poorly paid and some media employers do not put a premium on the welfare of those who make their medium what it is through their dedication to news reporting. Mrs Dabiri-Edewor felt strongly that she must not pass through the House of Representatives without addressing without doing something about these challenges facing the media.  She therefore presented a bill for an Act to provide for the repeal of the Nigerian Press Council Act of 1992 and establish in its place the Nigerian Press and Practice of Journalism Council. When the Bill was read on the floor of the National Assembly, it generated so much controversy and received bashing from various quarters ThisDay newspaper carried a news story titled Concern, Anger Over New Anti-Media Bill. It linked the Bill with the military era and stated that ‘Ten years after the Nigerian mass media survived brutal military dictatorships; a bill is now before the House of Representatives seeking to curtail press freedom and teleguide the practice of journalism in the country. dailytrust.com/controversy-t…

Madam Abike this is the racist post I condemned that you keep attacking me for You are guilty as charged, How can you share a laughter emoji at a post that denigrates a tribal group. I put it to you, your laughter here was an endorsement of a denigrating tweet against a certain ethnic group. Your problem is you can’t stand the truth. I will like to challenge you to a debate on this issue where I will speak the truth to your face and prove to the world you endorse bigotry . You have attacked me twice in public when you are guilty Furthermore when you are ready face the issue of the Nigerians in India
