Hi, I’m Eddy, the pencil loving, biscuit devouring human behind Stoomio. I help parents, teachers, aliens, and librarians find kids’ graphic novels and children’s books that actually get kids turning pages. No brown-nosing publishers or authors. No PR fluff. No hype cycles.

The Valley of the Strange by @maddashe WARNING: May contain prehistoric hillbillies and a superbly intense bat and drone chase scene This should be right up there on vour list of Halloween reads! I adore it and if it was a 15 book series I'd enjoy every single page.

If books came with post-credit scenes like Marvel movies… which one would you stay seated for?

Today is a landmark moment for everyone who works to ensure children have access to #schoollibraries. To be successful, the initial investment must be backed up by ongoing funding, and training and resources for library staff. Read our thoughts: bit.ly/46Jrh0S #uksla
Today I am promising a library in every single primary school in England by the end of this parliament.   That’s a statement of my values.   That’s a statement of the value this Labour Government places on all our children’s futures. theguardian.com/politics/202…

Tonight is a blood moon, so I thought it the perfect time to reveal the proof cover of my BRAND NEW MIDDLE-GRADE NOVEL. So... these are the advance copies that get sent out to reviewers and booksellers ahead of the actual publication in February, and it's super fun for me cos I get to do a special cover (different to the final one which we will reveal soon). Anyway, I'm so excited that The Last Wolf will be out in world, and if you would like an advance copy for review please contact @MacmillanKidsUK. In the meantime... BEWARE THE MOON. 🐺

When I was a child, my favourite books were the ones that took me seriously as a reader; the ones that were honest, and didn’t try to soften or simplify the truth, even when they dealt with difficult things. That’s the kind of book I want to write myself. dailybulldog.com/arts/an-int…
