Last night, at a reception I held for senior public sector executives from 🇬🇧, I was given these terrific paintings by seven year-old Mandy Voong from St. Matthew’s Catholic Primary School in Jarrow, just outside Newcastle. Thank you, Mandy: you’re a very talented artist! 🎨🧑🏻‍🎨

Today is the feast day of St. Matthew, one of the Twelve Apostles. While working as a Tax Collector Christ came to him and asked, "Follow me." With this call, Matthew became a disciple of Christ. We hope @stmatthewsrc pupils are having a wonderful day celebrating.

We join with the country as we mourn the death of Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II. She dedicated her life to her role as our Queen for 70 years. ‘Eternal Rest grant onto her O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon them. May she rest in peace, Amen Requiescat in pace.’
