.@JoeBiden can unify the American people because he's spent his life fighting for us. And as president, he'll build an America that lives up to our ideals.
I'm honored to join him as our party's nominee for Vice President, and do what it takes to make him our Commander-in-Chief.

@STLAbuBadu Also, not trying to troll you; just letting you know not all urbanists hate buses, avoid North City, and care only about bikes.
@STLAbuBadu @stltoday Fatalities decline exponentially with vehicle speed. We dont need roads w 45 mph avg traffic. We have plenty of hiwys.
@STLAbuBadu @mpowerstlouis if I had kids in the city I'd want them to have a safe street to cross.
@STLAbuBadu @mpowerstlouis I don't know any planner who found that necessary.
@STLAbuBadu @mpowerstlouis if some extremely minor congestion is the price of utopia and safety is a payoff, then I'd make that deal
@STLAbuBadu @mpowerstlouis It can infect even 'gentrifiers' themselves. Check out Tower Grove South Facebook page for anti-bikelane rhetoric
@STLAbuBadu @mpowerstlouis Least-civic and most self-centered thinking comes from residents guarding their commute and car entitlement.
@STLAbuBadu @mpowerstlouis With better (or just sane) roadway planning STL could reclaim some status as walking/transit city.
@STLAbuBadu @mpowerstlouis Yes, and that's an extreme problem. Unlike, say, lightly-trafficked Union Blvd. losing a lane.
@STLAbuBadu @mpowerstlouis #STL Traffic planning has focused on turning a walking city into a driving suburb. Hasn't bettered lives for any1
@STLAbuBadu Partly true. And dystopian populist designs too often focus only on redistribution of power over status quo, not a change of it.
@STLAbuBadu I agree bike culture isn't inclusive. That shouldn't mean working against a form of transpo that could better lives of poor ppl
@STLAbuBadu Used to be quite often back when @mpowerstlouis worked up there. NB is unconscionably wide and has literally led to deaths.
@STLAbuBadu This argument = true due to traffic planners, not any inherent dislike 4 biking. Bikes=efficient,no pollution, cheaper than cars
@STLAbuBadu Also, I believe the city has had at least 4 pedestrian fatalities in the past month (2 on Nat Bridge alone--way, way too wide).
@STLAbuBadu Our road capacity is 10x what is needed. Bike lanes are a good, cheap substitute for unneeded road space.
@STLAbuBadu Transpo costs>housing for working poor fams. Forcing car ownership and building only for cars =/= a populist economic argument.
