⭕️ Palestinian-American scholar Joseph Massad argues that liberal solidarity with Palestinians often extends only to recognizing them as victims of Israeli violence.
He draws parallels with South African anti-apartheid activist Steve Biko’s critique of white liberals, who claimed the moral authority to dictate how Black South Africans should pursue liberation. Massad argues that today’s liberals similarly condemn both Netanyahu and Hamas, positioning themselves as arbiters of acceptable Palestinian resistance while remaining, as Biko observed, “indifferent to the suffering” and “patient with the cruelty” inflicted on oppressed people.

ICE run over U.S. citizen riding his bike—break his arm.
Agents handcuff him behind his back without calling paramedics.
They inflict even more injuries—send him to the hospital in serious condition.
Then agents detain another U.S. citizen—for yelling at them on the sidewalk.
Man with the broken arm's daughter says he was hit on his e-bike by an unmarked car.
He was then tased twice and pinned to the ground—currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
Multiple ICE vehicles were running through stop signs—speeding the wrong way down one-way streets.
All on a weekend afternoon with kids playing outside.
Incident occurred near the intersection of East 56th Street & Elm Avenue in Long Beach, California.
Stop ICE Net doesn't have an account on this platform—so posting first full length, English translated, and credited video here to help raise awareness.

Let us reintroduce ourselves for those who are new here, we are The Sameer Project!!
Founded by three Palestinians in the diaspora who saw a gap in not just how humanitarian aid was being delivered to Gaza, but why.
Too often, aid comes with conditions, strips people of dignity, and creates dependency. We wanted to build something different.
A Palestinian-led initiative, by Palestinians, for Palestinians.
We listen to the people in Gaza. They tell us what they need, and we respond. Not months later, not when bureaucracy allows, but when the need exists.
Our mission is not simply to deliver aid. It is to restore dignity, autonomy, and agency to Palestinians whose ability to provide for themselves has been systematically destroyed by the occupation.
We don't believe Palestinians should have to depend on charity to survive. We believe in supporting their right to self-determination.
Humanitarian aid is our work. Palestinian liberation is our goal.
This is The Sameer Project.
Keep supporting our work: linktr.ee/thesameerproject?u…

Great canvassing churches with the wonderful Marsha Coleman-Adebayo today. 💗
Yes, I’m a Christian and when my heart is its truest, I’m in constant communion with Jesus.
I've been very disappointed by the institutional church in the US. I find many who loudly proclaim they are Christians to be exactly the hypocrites Jesus warned of.
I went to a great Methodist church in South Africa when I was visiting earlier this year, loved Rev. Sikawu Makubalo and the congregation in Cape Town.
I actually met him at an interfaith Iftar at a mosque which I just alluded to yesterday. We were in line together to get food and struck up a great conversation and he invited me speak there. I realized later he was looking directly into the camera in the picture I had taken before we actually spoke, below.
My father liked to remind me he was born on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus got his disciples, “fishers of men”. His father was trained as a Franciscan priest and bailed out at the last minute.
I used to go to Plymouth Congregation in DC when Rev. Grayland Hagler was there. He died this year, when I was in South Africa, so I was sad not to make his memorial service.
I occasionally go to Catholic Worker events and sometimes to a nearby Mennonite church and the nearby Quaker Friends meeting. I grew up in a Baptist Church founded by my uncle, Sami Hamarneh who I lived with as a child — the Arabic Baptist Church, which still stands on Massachusetts Ave.
Could say much more, but that's the rough sketch. Oh, and I occasionally accompany my mother to Orthodox Church (Arabic) and find some of the mysticism there fascinating. Thomas Merton was increasingly interested in it when he died in 1968, under suspicious circumstances I should say.

Watch | An Israeli settler parks outside a Palestinian family’s home in Khallet al-Hums, Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, and blasts Hebrew music through a speaker to harass and terrorize the family inside.
Settlers systematically use this kind of provocation to bait Palestinians into reacting, then use the confrontation that follows to summon Israeli occupation forces to arrest residents or to launch coordinated attacks, which often end in the theft and takeover of Palestinian homes or the injury and killing of Palestinians.

This is from an episode of Law & Order SVU 26 years ago where they casually claim that 75% of all murders in Gaza and the West Bank were honor killings. Just making up insane statistics about Palestinians and passing them off as facts on national television. Imagine how much of this bullshit Americans have been fed for decades.

Around 87% of Gaza’s agricultural land has been damaged by the military occupation’s assaults. Only 3% remains both undamaged and accessible to farmers within the “safe-zone.”
This destruction is about far more than land. It is about control. Support Gaza now: chuffed.org/project/113222-t…
Destroy Palestinian farmland, uproot olive trees, demolish greenhouses, and Palestinians lose the ability to feed themselves. They become dependent on food entering through crossings controlled by their oppressor.
Control the food supply, and you control what people eat, how much they eat, and whether they eat at all. You can restrict calories, deny nutritious food, and create conditions where malnutrition and disease flourish.
And beyond the physical suffering is the psychological torment of knowing that the essentials of life can be cut off at any moment.
Food dependency becomes another weapon of occupation.
Agricultural self-sufficiency means freedom. The freedom to grow your own food, feed your children, sustain your community, and live without asking your oppressor for permission to survive.
That is why restoring Palestinian agriculture is not simply about rebuilding farms. It is about restoring dignity, independence, and self-determination. Returning to tradition and tending to the land that produces so much.
Palestinians deserve more than food aid. They deserve food sovereignty. They deserve to be rewarded by the land they love so much. They deserve liberation.

For three years, she didn’t know where they were. Now this Palestinian woman is saying goodbye to her sister, her daughter and her granddaughter, three generations of her family killed when the Israeli occupation bombed buildings in Al-Daraj, northeast of Gaza City, in the early days of the genocide. They lay buried under the rubble until Civil Defence crews finally reached them, and on Sunday their remains were carried, wrapped in Palestinian flags, among 75 martyrs to Sheikh Radwan Cemetery.
Many families at the funeral received little more than bones. Around 8,000 people are still buried under Gaza’s rubble, according to Civil Defence spokesperson Mahmoud Basal, and his crews are still waiting on the excavators, bulldozers and DNA testing equipment they need to recover and identify them. Until they arrive, thousands of families like hers are left waiting years just for a grave.
