almost frowns a bit but —— eyes widen, cautiously tugging on his sleeve after the pat. ❝ wa .,.. wai,,.t —— ❞ just wants to give him something too. more than a stick. it fishes through the basket, pulling out a bottle cap he’d picked up. a gift .ᐟ holding it out to him.

thankfully with its limp, he didn’t get too far in his sad walking away. eyes widened in surprise as he actually came back —— and with . . . a gift .ᐣ a finger lifts to point to itself. ❝ m —— m .,… me .ᐣ ❞

eyes still squint with anticipation before the action, but its exhale reads as a quiet laugh. his smile quickly fades into a frown as he runs away, however. assumes he won’t come back. that was how it usually went.
