7 thoughts on creativity from Visakan Veerasamy (@visakanv):
1. It’s ok to be creative just for the pleasure of it.
2. You cannot have someone else - whether person, crowd, or AI tool – feel your feelings for you.
3. Journaling → self-knowledge → power → freedom → joy.
4. 0.1% is not 0%. I get through to people about 0.1% of the time, which is enough for me to make a living from it.
5. You don’t win by being less of a loser (minimizing negative variance), you win by winning (maximizing positive variance).
6. Sometimes a big problem has a small solution and people hate to hear it because they feel that their big problem deserves a big solution.
7. Life is excruciatingly meaningful.

AI-accompanied journal @stiloAI is so pleasant.
Briefly captured current self-doubts, so short that days later, I’ll not remember what it was about.
Stilo kindly inquires about the context and discusses the next plan until I intend to finish — all of which becomes my journal.

the coolest thing about journaling consistently is having a paper trail of convos with myself over months
as I do my annual review, I start to find threads where I first thought about [xyz] or when I experienced [xyz]
over time, the day-to-day themes converge in meaningful ways

write out your thoughts to sharpen your thinking. writing is just a conversation with yourself, with your own mind. use it to gain clarity and conviction and most of all: to get out of your own mind. if you feel stuck or overwhelmed by the thoughts in your head, externalize them.

Begin each day by asking:
What will make today successful?
Define your success, target it with intention, and actively avoid anything that doesn't serve that purpose
At the end of the day, reflect on your progress and recalibrate for tomorrow

i recommend journaling, freestyle stream-of-consciousness memoirs about one’s life and grievances. a sufficiently clear picture of one’s own narrative should reveal obvious actions worth taking

That was my journey, too. I slowly let writing and creep into my life and that’s become a pretty big thing that drives everything else. I really only have one focus, which is this mantra of writing most days. I’m not really aiming at any sort of impact or outcome just trying to control the inputs.
