Somebody at CBS was watching Newsroom reruns on HBO…
"I report for you."
The new CBS Evening News launches on Monday and our new anchor, Tony Dokoupil, is making a promise to viewers: "You come first. Not advertisers. Not politicians. Not corporate interests."
From now on, what you see and hear on the news will reflect what you see and hear in your own life. We will ask the questions that weren't being asked before. And we will work every day to earn your trust back.

I’m in the attic with a few espresso martini’s in me.
Santa is soley on me right now and I honestly understand what Aaron Judge must feel like in October,
That’s a wrap on college athletics as we’ve know it…
In a groundbreaking endeavor, the University of Utah athletics is entering into what could be a $500M+ equity partnership with Otro Capital featuring the creation and shared ownership of a for-profit entity to operate athletics, sources tell @YahooSports.

Leadership 101.
“That’s no one’s fault except our own.”
This is how it should be.
Clark Lea did not blame anyone besides themselves with CFP. Says they had chances at Alabama and Texas
“That’s no one’s fault except our own. We had our opportunities and we didn’t do enough. We are not victims in this process. Our ownership is in coming up short…” @chrislee70
Amen!
🚨 ‼️ We finally got it right! This spring in DIII 🥍 all student-athletes can be dressed on the sideline for @ncaalax tournament games! 🙌
Thanks to countless coaches, administrators, and student-athletes who have tirelessly advocated for this change over the years!

Has there ever been a finer moment in lacrosse broadcasting?
Andy Shay embodies the nose to the grindstone, hard work pays off coaching mindset. He must have been holding so much tension for months if not years.
We’re watching a grown man’s brain completely snap - from joy.
This is on ESPN, on Memorial Day. Paused at the right moment it looks like Andy and Carc are middle schoolers about to fight in the cafeteria.
Paul is trying to make a parallel to the 1800s, and Andy’s brain says “I don’t want to talk about the 1800s. I want to swan dive backwards into a mosh pit.”
His attempt to reel back to professionalism with a burst of apologies is equally priceless.
Indiana wears Adidas.
Their coach is pretty good.
Connect the dots.
“…it doesn’t change the standard or expectations but having a little empathy for them…”
High Standards + High Empathy = Maximum Development Opportunity
JJ Redick:
“I spent a lot of time after the season with my performance coach and did a lot of self reflection. I think the biggest thing for me is just having the ability to properly turn it on and off. And recognizing not everybody is wired like Kobe. You got to kind of meet guys where they are.”

To every coach out there with young kids that are asleep before you get home or asleep when you leave in the morning…it’s really hard. Doing what you love while giving up time with who you love.
You’re fighting a battle few understand and even fewer even notice. I see you. 👍
Arrogantly acting like your team is winning, and carrying on like fools spewing nonsense while all of the facts and data show you’re actually getting your ass kicked seems, so unfortunately, very appropriate. 🤦♂️
Scoreboard don’t lie.
(and quit heckling Rory…he’s too good)
The algorithms (and bots) are winning.
The divide grows.
The foundation cracks.
The chaos spreads.
A handful of people.
People, and themes, aimed to anger.
Their “credibility” solely comes from their number of followers.
Think critically, not emotionally, and you’ll see.
The oxygen, heat, and fuel of ignorance and hate in our nation.
Mental health. Anxiety. Depression. Hate.
Intolerance. Political polarization. Tribal mentality.
The real drug problem we don’t talk about bc too many important people are making too much money off our collapse.
There’s a reason that Nick Saban is considered the best to ever do it.
The arrogance (or ignorance) required to think that he was replaceable is insane.
The Process wasn’t a ‘Bama thing or an SEC thing…it was a SABAN thing.
Now we know why he’s the 🐐.
