Today, we are announcing an agreement to acquire ADT.
Home security has the qualities we look for in the businesses we own: an essential service built on specialist expertise and earned trust.
We see an opportunity to build on that foundation for decades, investing in its people and technology to deliver the best outcomes for customers.
Our ambition is to help ADT define the next era of trusted home security.

one of the nice things about Linear.
They really excel in the small details.

For many businesses, technology today is a “very small line item,” says @nilamg . “I think it’s going to be a bigger line item.” Beacon, he hopes, will be the place customers call when they realize “there’s stuff to automate.”

Thinking of attending a movie theater as practice before seeing “You Can See Everything.” Anyone want to be paid as fake movie goers?
Sometimes I feel like Tony Stark in Iron Man 1 and other times I feel like Anthony Bourdain telling Singaporeans about how he enjoys washing and folding his laundry instead of relying on a maid.

I joined @haizelabs inspired by @leonardtang_ 's vision to bring Haize’s incredible AI technology to the world.
One of the programs we launched - AI for Small Businesses really opened our eyes to the crazy adoption gap between Fortune100 companies and Main Street businesses.
A typical Fortune 100 has OpenAI+ Anthropic + McKinsey+ Palantir all competing for each engagement.
Main Street has no one.
We realized that closing this gap will take much more than handing a business keys to a technology. It means working from the 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘵 with the business owners and building around each company’s knowledge base and needs.
That is why I couldn’t be more excited to announce that Haize Labs is joining @beaconholdings !
Beacon is giving us the chance to do exactly that: help Main Street build its AI-ready future. On its own terms.
Congratulations to @leonardtang_ and our entire Haize Labs Team!
And huge thanks to @nilamg for the trust and opportunity!
I am thrilled to announce that @beaconholdings has acquired @haizelabs, with me joining as VP of AI Research.
We started Haize in 2024 to enable anyone to build reliable and safe AI. Through our red-teaming and safeguards work with the frontier labs; our observability, guardrail, and evaluation platform serving the world’s largest enterprises; and our pro bono SMB work, any customer could build AI they trusted with Haize.
Joining Beacon lets us deliver the same trustworthy AI to those who need it most, and those most overlooked by Silicon Valley: the essential Main Street businesses the real world depends upon.
Transitioning these essential businesses through the AI revolution is one of the most consequential responsible AI problems of our time. We couldn’t be more honored to tackle it with Beacon.
Thank you to our customers, investors, and team for the journey of a lifetime. And thank you to Nilam, Goutham, Mark, and the Beacon team for the trust and opportunity.
It’s time to get to work.

I joined Haize as an engineer to find the most interesting edge cases in AI deployments. Now that Haize is joining Beacon, we get to bring this technology to businesses that run the real economy.
Beacon's sheer diversity of problems, people, and technology makes it an incredible place to design how humans collaborate with frontier intelligence. It's super fun to learn from folks who've spent decades thinking about farming software, youth soccer league management, and dance recital tech.
Come build the steep rails to deliver intelligence (both ways) between worlds which don’t usually talk, and shape these rails to encourage diversity and creativity. This is what originally drove me to join Haize and what makes me so excited to be at Beacon 😄😄

As a cofounder of Haize, I’m happy to announce that we're joining Beacon to bring safe, reliable AI to the real economy!
At the time of our creation, the majority of AI users were enterprises, racing to beat out their competitors by building the next new agent to automate their workflows, chasing after OpenAI and Anthropic as they release models with greater and greater capabilities.
As time went on, however, we saw a severe gap between the resources and capabilities available to the everyday business compared to these enterprise players.
Beacon's portfolio serves that exact customer profile and we realized that we can build the exact same tools that we served to enterprises and research labs to the broader real economy.
It's only been a month and a half since we started, but the experience has been nothing short of incredible. Nilam is a visionary and the people that he has assembled in the past years are nothing short of incredible.
Thank you to Nilam, Goutham, Mark, and the rest of the Beacon team for this amazing opportunity. I can't wait for what we will build together.

From "The Social Control of Technology"
"...the social consequences of a technology cannot be predicted early in the life of the technology. By the time undesirable consequences are discovered, however, the technology is often so much part of the whole economic and social fabric that its control is extremely difficult. This is the dilemma of control. When change is easy, the need for it cannot be foreseen; when the need for change is apparent, change has become expensive, difficult and time consuming."
