I built a ChatGPT Dot that automatically clips content for you. Send it a URL and wake up to clips already posted on X, TikTok, YouTube, Reels, and LinkedIn. Every clip scored for virality, reframed with speaker tracking, and captioned in your brand template. Comment "DOT" and I'll send it over + FREE credits (must be following) 👇

We built a ChatGPT Dot, powered by @OpusClip. Drop in a YouTube link and your Dot turns your footage into viral clips, with captions, then schedules them to X, TikTok, Shorts, Reels, and more. Comment “DOT” and we’ll send you the ChatGPT Dot + free credits. 👇

Don't forget @tibo_maker also tried to replace beehiiv and a year later removed the newsletter feature from Feather lol Now you can only "collect" them now 😆 Email is not easy folks xitter.cf/tibo_maker/status/1843…
beehiiv asks me for $960 / month 🤯 Yes, I reached 100K subscribers on my Newsletter For weeks, I have been trimming it down 😅 I remove inactive subscribers to stay below 100k So what's my plan? Slowly migrating to Feather Newsletter as we are releasing the feature 💪 Next edition: 30% of subs should receive it with Feather

lol so here’s what the headline doesn’t show he’s charging per email sent not per contact. meanwhile @beehiiv lets you send unlimited times per month for the same price I have a 50k subscriber newsletter that I send daily. That’s 1.5M emails a month. That’s $349 on this which is literally more than beehiiv 😭
I vibe-coded beehiiv, and it's 83% cheaper. ✨✨ Introducing MailCheap.ai ✨✨ Everything you need to run a newsletter... ✍️ Editor 📅 Scheduling 📈 Stats 🌐 A website for every issue 🛡️ Deliverability guardrails 🔗 Send from your own domain (and keep your reputation) And it's not a dinosaur tool: + It's open source; you can run it for free + It's agentic; everything in the UI is available to your AI Import from beehiiv, Substack, or Mailchimp in 2 minutes. You pay for the emails you send, not for dormant subscribers. From $19/month. Oh, and no "Powered By" badge at the bottom of your emails.

In reality, no serious newsletter is only sending once a week. He’s marketing towards indie hackers which is fine, but to act like beehiiv is charging more for no reason is disingenuous xitter.cf/marclou/status/2110743…

Math: 4,000 subscribers, one email a week: $19 on MailCheap vs $109 on beehiiv Lite.

btw even if I sent twice a week it'd be the same price. the pricing is not competitive at higher volume/subscriber counts it literally is just for indie hackers. but at that point just use Substack

Let’s do what Marc says and imagine this scenario I have 50,000 subscribers and send daily, and decide to cut my list: by 10% -> still paying the same amount by 20% -> still paying the same amount by 30% -> still paying the same amount by 40% -> still paying the same amount by 50% -> still paying the same amount by 60% -> still paying the same amount why? at 60% cut, I’m at 20,000 subscribers 20,000 x 30 emails a month = 600,000 emails a month that STILL puts me on the most expensive plan

I had the same list size & OR with my own newsletter and cut it down in half because sending to non-active subs hurts deliverability. You can import all of them and choose to just send to active ones, which would cut ~35% of the usage. But for daily emails to a list w/ high OR, I agree it's not cheaper; I'll see what I can do, Steven
