Personal agents like Instinct and @muse are blowing up. They are flooding companies websites and support channels. This is the B2A (business to agent) era.
Today we're launching Lorikeet B2A: a suite of tools to help businesses win the B2A era.

Here's a one sentence description of Australia: It's like the United States but better, except if you're extraordinarily ambitious or you really like burritos, in which case it's like the United States but worse
We sent personal AI agents to 50 of the best-known US brands to see which ones serve them best. The ranking goes live on Tuesday.
More than 1,000 agents contacted these companies' support teams and tested each brand's website. Some brands gave the agent the steps, the cost and the timeframe straight away. Others turned it away at the front door, or asked it for a login.
We call the resulting ranking The AX Index. I think it is the first public scorecard for brands' readiness for the B2A (business to agent) era.
If you want an early look at where the brands land, DM me pls.
I RTd @mattyglesias tweet and have been inundated with replies from people making comments that are at least one of personal, stupid, obvious, or bad faith.
Truly a cursed set of menchies. Do not intend to revisit.

All of these companies ultimately have to play ball
Those that provide real value for customers (eg amazon) will be mostly fine / preserve their economics
Those that are interchangeable with competitors and preying on consumer friction (airlines, banks) are hosed
Agents are machines for finding producer surplus and giving it back to consumers
notice..
> Delta is blocking AI agents from booking flights
> JPMorgan Chase and Charles Schwab block agents from accessing accounts
> Yelp requires paid data licensing for agents
> Amazon has blocked Grok bot and other shopping agents.
the internet is starting to block AI agents that were supposed to do everything for us
imho lots of the reason people talk past each other here is that one group assumes in-office == bad commute, and the other doesn’t.
If you choose to live far from important places, you will find it annoying when you have to go to them!
These kinds of Dunning Kruger logical fallacies hurt employees bc the founders genuinely believe them.
A market growing does not mechanically increase the valuation if the companies in that market. Likely the valuations are high because the market expansion is priced in!
Valuation changes come from changes relative to what’s priced in for the future, not just from changes themselves.

it should also surprise absolutely NO ONE that @Citi & apparently @BankofAmerica are blocking AI agents like @instinct + @Muse from moving money out of their accts
same playbook: agents can still read via @Plaid but can’t touch the $$$
also always funny to me how banks wait for someone else to move first

it should surprise absolutely no one that @jpmorgan is blocking AI agents like @instinct + @Muse from operating accounts
agents can still READ accounts via @Plaid (which now pays JPM for that access), they just can’t move money
meanwhile JPM is piloting its own agent (Smart Cash) that moves funds to maximize yield
agents that keep deposits at Chase + move bw products = cool. agents that move them out = risky + liability issue

FT op-ed estimates AI agents that chase better rates for idle deposits could wipe roughly $500bn of equity value off US banks.
It is the height of fucking hypocrisy for SF to ban data centres while hosting most of the companies that drive the demand.
This is literally NIMBY. If you want the AI revenues and population, host the infrastructure that powers it.
Today I signed the data center moratorium legislation.
San Francisco is the national leader in innovation, and that innovation is one important driver of our city’s recovery. We can never take that position for granted. As our city recovers, our administration is working to deliver a recovery that reaches every family and truly supports our communities.
Over the next 45 days, alongside departments and the Board of Supervisors, we will continue the work our administration has already started to develop a thoughtful, responsible framework that allows for the technology infrastructure our hospitals, office buildings, academic institutions, and government rely on while prioritizing community needs, keeping electricity rates low, and protecting the clean water and air our residents deserve.
So kids at my daughters’ school are all really into Michael Jackson for some weird reason. Now my daughter wants to go as him for Halloween. Cursed. But Michael Jackson at least should be genuinely scary to children!

i hit my final straw with JPM last week. i told Instinct to sign me up for @mercury, and to my astonishment it did it 95% autonomously (i just had to verify my identity with a photo).
building AI+agent-native products is now a user requirement
1/ Starting today you can take actions on your @Mercury business and personal accounts right from your agent (ChatGPT/Claude/etc) via the MCP.
Our MCP already let you ask questions about your accounts.* Now it can move money too (with your approval).
Continues to surprise me that Anthropic has really poor AI customer support but that the vendor that provides it won't shut up how they're the ones who provide it.
Just got an infuriating letter from @cityofsydney inviting us to comment on proposals to heritage list a series of the ugliest, shittiest post-WWII buildings you've already seen.
Why don't we heritage list this letter to commemorate how stupid it is, demolish the buildings, and build some fucking housing.
@SydneyYIMBY
Look at we may have AGI, but OpenAI can't do a mail merge to figure out whether we use models they're deprecating or not.
