20 years ago, it was similarly hot and dry and London was 'burning', between the several large grass fires and building fires, I attended, I managed to get to my eldest daughters 11th birthday party for a couple of hours.

There hasn’t been a year since 2011 that we haven’t reached 32°c and not a year since 1981 where we haven’t reached 30°c. So why all the fuss? It’s summer, we have hot spells a few times every year? Granted, 2022 was rare with 40°c being reached. But the fuss this week!!! 😒
In this heat, don’t blow warm air around with your fan. Be like Firefighters who draw in cool clear air to remove smoke. Same principles, place a fan by the door to draw in cooler fresh air to replace the hot stale air inside.

I have made almost 20, yes 20 attempts to pay @TfLTPH for my taxi licence renewal, from several accounts on various platforms… all saying payment failed. Three emails sent in the last couple of weeks. ZERO response. My license expires in a few days, lucky I don’t need to use it!
