time for my hottest of all hot takes...
the whole movie is about manipulating the viewer to feel bad for her. but she went to prison for a reason. serious fraud, ppl were hurt
went in wanting to see the nathan fielder i know and love, but we can't all get what we want
Turns out we can predict the future
excited for what comes next
Our prediction for this Prime Day comes from Mimi, our newest prediction model at Social Intelligence Labs.
Mimi simulates 60 million people using census data and enriched persona data from other public sources and social media. We have been building Mimi over the past few months and are excited to test it publicly for the first time.
Overall, here are our thoughts:
A smaller event than Prime Day. About $109 per household, roughly a quarter below June's $143, with orders around $47 (June: $48). About half of households place two or more orders (June: 63%).
Awareness high, enthusiasm modest. 91% knew about the event, but only about one in three (32%) shopped mainly because of it, and 56% are very or extremely satisfied with the deals.
Careful shoppers. About one in three (32%) are more cautious because of the economy, and 54% compare prices across
retailers.
Early holiday shopping, light AI use. About one in four (23%) buy holiday gifts; about one in five (21%) use AI shopping tools
We will report back when Numerator's data comes out in a couple of weeks.
hmmm not sure i’d call this almost as good as chatgpt
muse is still losing a pretty significant chunk of users between day 7 and 14
seems like a lot of initial curiosity that isn’t turning into regular usage. retention should be a flat and steady line.

designing this took 18 hours, two tools, and taste you can't prompt even if you wanted to. 😉

not surprised. instinct trying to monetize so they can justify their insane valuation.
it's the same way that meta is trying to monetize muse.
both trying to get a cut of revenue going thru the platform.
Instinct + Shopify
35% of our users use Instinct for personal shopping. Today, we’re partnering with @Shopify to bring product discovery, checkout and order updates into one conversation.
Shopping is a creative and personal experience. Your Instinct knows your sizes, the brands you like, and what you’ve bought, kept or returned. When you ask for something, Instinct understands the details that matter, from who a gift is for to when you need it to arrive.
Instinct can now search Shopify’s merchant network for products, and find live information on prices, sizes and availability. When you’re ready to buy, Instinct sets up your order with the store so you can check out with Shop Pay using your saved payment and shipping details.
Whether you’re searching for a thoughtful gift, researching big-ticket items, or restocking household essentials, the new experience helps you:
- Discover and compare products across brands, with up-to-date pricing and availability
- Check out with Shop Pay using your saved details
- Receive price-drop and back-in-stock notifications for your favorite items
- Stay on top of delivery updates and return-window reminders
- Access automatic discounts and promo codes tied to your Shop account

this may be controversial, but we’ve gotten rid of sick days at the office. being sick is just a mindset. and a biohacking opportunity. @bryan_johnson
we are now offering our employees a new solution:

what do Ferrari, Hermès, and Patek Philippe know that your Series A deck doesn't?
their mythology is just as strong as the company.
I wrote all about the importance of brand storytelling. check out the full article!
I saw my intern eating tofu for lunch. I nearly threw up.
that's why I installed a steak vending machine in the office. (shoutout @chasedownleads for the inspiration)
studies show that iron-deficient people lack conviction and will remain in the permanent underclass.
My staff started a book club without me. I found them hiding in the break room, annotating bell hooks’ All About Love.
The next week, I brought in Venture Deals.
“But Zac, this isn’t feminist literature.”
Oh, but it absolutely is. It’s about power, negotiation, and equity. Which I’m pretty sure is the same thing as equality.
