The number of MLB Hitters with 300+ total bases has absolutely plummeted this season. What do you think is the main cause?

Anyone else have issues with the @eBay app being slow as hell to load? Searches take forever, then you have to wait for the screen to load constantly as you scroll. Wasn't like this a couple months back, but I hate it.

I would love to see a resurgence of batting avg. Might allow me to watch a game with enjoyment again. Between the launch angles and sketchy balls these hitters look like fools
Joey Votto
@JoeyVottoSep 12
Batting average is a lower tier stat in his world. Go to an actual game, observe the efficiency of walks, K’s, and homers and tell me you wouldn’t want to see a few base hits replacing those three true outcomes.

Pulled out a box of cards I'd put away to sell at some point. Mostly Griffey and Trout with a few others sprikled in. Some of the Griffey have surprised me as they were at most $10 cards or less.

Was doing some ebaying. Decided to see where a few cards sat at market. Debating if I like having them or selling while hot. Holy crap

First break of any kind in 4 years. Last retail was 2022. For the lubeless screwing of a $40 blaster, I received about $12 of value. If it was $19, no issue. It was fun to break packs again! but I will continue my staunch non support of @Topps and @Fanatics for the next 4 years.

I would have bet money Snell had better numbers than even Degrom. But holy was I wrong 🤣🤣 Neither should be considered hall of fame. Unless they enable some serious goal post moving. Will have to be a realignment of what a HOF pitcher is, but neither of these two are that

What's it like being a rocket scientist?

I'd rather RBI and runs scored than HR. While you can't help the people in front you getting on base (especially these days) being able to put the ball in play when it counts is most important
Brian@BriRobitailleAug 29
Wait... there's still people serious about RBIs being an actual important indicator of performance? Ok 😅

Dudes in year 13, and only qualified for the yearly pitching awards 5 times. And you think he deserves HOF consideration? Is he great sure.. but he needs more substance to his stats. With he severity of limitation, I'd vote for Santana or Lincecum over degrom
Ben Yoel
@Ben_YoelAug 22
Tons of replies are talking about his longevity as a reason why he shouldn’t be in the HOF. If Sandy Koufax can make it in so can Jacob deGrom. End of story.

To supplement my point. Degroms 13 year career versus Koufax's 12 years. Koufax has nearly 658 more innings pitched in 1 less season, and was available for pitching awards in 9 of them

Lock them out for all of 2027. I don't care at this point. Ridiculous

The Los Angeles Dodgers are acquiring Tarik Skubal for outfielder Zyhir Hope, right-hander River Ryan and right-hander Brady Smith, sources tell ESPN.

Went and watched "The Odyssey" Anne Hathaway stole the movie. Followed by John Leguizamo. Pattinson did well too but everyone else seemed to be playing a theatre part to me. too much celebrity "face" for me to completely lose reality.

This epitomizes the decline of the game today to me. Many, and I mean MANY people think Shwarber is nearly a lock for the HOF. Especially if he gets to 500 HR. 🤣🤣🤣 I LOVE baseball but since 2015 or so.. I do not like this iteration of MLB
