Because big oil is ripping us off and neither party has the guts to stop them.
Replying to @timburchett
@timburchett President Trump says America is ‘flush’ with oil. We’ve got so much oil we could sell it to every nation on earth & still we would be flush with oil. If this is true somebody has some explaining to do about why Americans have to pay so much for gasoline. Why isn’t America on their own private gasoline pricing schedule? Why isn’t America just as ‘flush’ with ‘gasoline’ as they are with crude oil? Why doesn’t the American price for gasoline reflect this ‘wonderful’ situation of having possession of so much crude oil? Why are American domestic gasoline prices tied to the world market prices for gasoline? How many of you have gone to your favorite AI asking it these questions only to get a convoluted technical answer which defends the high price of gasoline? It talks about heavy crude, sweet crude, American refineries not built to refine but one kind of crude, the distribution network is less than needed, etc. resulting in the need for America to purchase gasoline from foreign suppliers who sell at world market prices. That’s right. America, who the President says is flush with crude has to buy foreign refined gasoline to keep up with American demand…Why? Since the Carter years and the low supply of gasoline caused massively high prices creating long lines at the gasoline stations, we’ve know there is a problem. For 50 years politicians have known there is a problem. They did nothing about it then & they are doing nothing about it now. Gasoline & crude oil are in a very ‘capitalistic’ business environment. You know, supply & demand. When demand exceeds supply prices go up. The opposite exists when supply exceeds demand. Prices go down. So if America is so ‘flush’ with crude oil, high supply exceeding demand why are gasoline prices so high. Why do we not ‘refine’ it in America? The answer you get, always, every time is the refineries in America are designed to be able to refine gasoline from only one kind crude oil. Which one? It should not matter. Whatever kinds of crude oil exists coming out of the ground refineries in America should be able to turn it into gasoline. And do so at half the price of the world gasoline market is charging. Here’s the thing. If you are an America owning stocks or whatever kinds of investments you have in the ‘oil’ industry you are doing very, very well in the present ‘investment’ environment. The cost of gasoline has no effect on you. What happens to the price of goods when the owners of such goods know they have huge supplies of those goods, reducing demand, causing the market price they can get to be lower than they would like? They withhold that over abundant supply, allowing the demand to exceed what they are wiling to sell. The price goes up. Investors love it. Consumers suffer for it. I believe, even though crude oil supplies are hugely abundant, it is refining that crude into gasoline which is being constrained keeping the supply of gasoline, particularly in America, artificially & intentionally, at levels below demand levels for gasoline. High demand, low supply=higher prices!!! American refineries are the problem. Democrats have for years & years & years via their massive regulations & just outright forcing refiners to shut down have used these things to ‘artificially with intent’ keep gasoline supplies lower than the demand. Just ask how much investment money Democrat politicians have, not so much in the ‘crude oil’ side of this issue, but in the ‘selling of gasoline’ side of it. This is a part of their ‘green scam’ & their ‘climate change’ scam. It is to keep the American refineries from producing supplies of gasoline at levels below the demand for gasoline. It means ‘cha-ching’ for those who have investments in ‘gasoline production & distribution’ in America. Ask your AI how many refineries exist in America, be sure to also ask over the last 50 years why haven’t more been built? Why were existing ones closed?

CIA remembers the nearly 3,000 lives lost on 9/11 when terrorists struck the United States. We led the first strikes in Afghanistan and continue to relentlessly hunt down those who pose a threat to Americans. CIA will neither forget, nor rest in pursuit of our Nation's enemies.

I remember looking at my window at the twin towers on September 11th. And then they weren’t there. So much pride in being a New Yorker and so much pride in being an American. We all had something in common,,, we were ALL Americans. May we never forget the lives that were lost, the heroes who ran toward danger, or the families and friends who have carried that loss every day since. Never Forget.

We can never forget the loss of lives and the sorrow and unity we all felt as a country. We remember that everyday, any and all acts of service and kindness honor those we lost. This is a day that makes me think about all of us together as humans, and how important our unity is to each other and the ongoing wellbeing of our country and the human race. Prayers for the many families affected by 9/11 and prayers for America. Love to all." BK 🇺🇸🙏🏼🇺🇸
