Wow - creating animated avatars based on video actions. Had a play last night and wow. Accuracy is amazing. Can see S’s creating movies, Physical Ed analysis, dance, drama….and so much more! @Usingtechbetter
Shape hunts with a camera (and maybe Keynote scaffold) are a fab way to integrate STEM authentically :)
Shape and other hunts (using a keynote or numbers templates to scaffold them), teaching young students to take a good photo, using the outdoors as backdrops for videos e.g ‘on location filming’ and using clip on lens’ to zoom in and check out the micro world. #appleEDUchat
A huge thanks to everyone on the #AppleEDUchat for sharing such amazing learning about all things outdoors 🌳🌳🌳🌳@SallyLowe17, @kimnitram and I are honoured you spent the evening with us! Have a great night! ♥️
Voice, choice and ownership of expressing learning - so important :)
A6. Giving students choice in recording learning is always a winner. Apple tech gives students the tools to bring their imagination to life. Choice often leads to more independent learning. A great combination for learning outside. #AppleEDUchat
Yes - the immediacy of Clips can't be beaten :)
A5. It always be Clips or Numbers! I can design activities in Numbers at different sheets, then let students make their own videos recording about what they have learned with Clips. Which are lots of fun with these apps.#AppleEDUchat
Yes! Modelling risk taking is key as educators :)
A6. I think the first thing I need to do is to get out there and have fun using Apple's technologies, and then show my students how it's done. #AppleEDUchat

A6. At every chance (and with expectations in place), allow kids to take devices on excursions! The capacity to capture video, photo, sound for evidence of learning is massive! #appleEDUchat

Using reality composer to create AR choose your own (intrepid) adventures is super fun! #AppleEDUchat
A6 Our school garden is a great joy for our learners. Tracking, sketching and graphing the growth of our plants in Numbers has lead to rich engagement - and giant zucchini! #AppleEDUchat
The camera opens the door to high quality expression of learning :)
A5. With just one iPhone or iPad, you can do most things. Both have excellent cameras, which is very helpful in an educational setting. #AppleEDUchat
A5 Clips is our go to - our learners love creating field guides of the local flora and fauna of our space. This ‘Eamon Eddieborough’ guide is a hoot! #AppleEDUchat
Market gardens teach so much about sustainability, horticulture, entrepreneurialism...so good!
A4: At school we grow a lot of our own produce: 🍊🍋🍓🥑🍅🥦🥬🌶🫑🧅🥔 They are added to items in the school canteen &used in classrooms #AppleEDUchat In a year 4 class the students created a 🐌 ‘snail farm’ as they found so many which stemmed into Science life cycle learning.
