A sneak peek of what's to come... 👀
When it comes to creating a Christmas video, YMCA North Staffordshire doesn't do things by halves!

But will they succeed? There's only one way to find out...
Keep your eyes peeled for our Battle of the Boxes launch video... COMING SOON!📽️

Why frame it as pensioners v everyone else? Young people are insecure, and future pensioners may be poorer too.
Don’t weaken one group’s floor to help another. Build security across life: UBI + pensions + strong public services.

Lots of pictures and videos incoming on a very significant day for the @UniofStaffs - the opening of our new £100m Student Village and Hub. I just want to give a shout out to this bloke. I’m sure all Unis think their Chancellor is the best. I know ours is. He’s one of our own. 🤝

🚨 BREAKING: New PM Andy Burnham has scrapped VAT on electricity bills.
This is a helpful first step. But for people already struggling to afford the essentials, it won't go far enough.
Because people turn to food banks when they have no money and have run out of other options.
The government promised to end the need for emergency food. Now we need to see longer-term actions to make that a reality.

Today we hosted a coffee morning in support of Remembering Srebrenica.
It was an honour to hear first-hand accounts and reflect on the importance of remembrance, understanding, and standing against hatred.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, and especially to those who so generously shared their stories with us. We will remember.

If cutting support pushes 400,000 more people into poverty, it's not a saving — it's a cost shifted elsewhere.
Poverty drives ill health, housing insecurity and pressure on public services.
UBI+ would provide a secure income floor while protecting disability-related support.
