About to fly back to Montreal. First leg of BD + PR tour done. What an insane 15 day sprint: Tenerife, Cannes, Torino. Network execs, buyers, studios, directors and creators. I'm absolutely destroyed, but energized. Every day is a 14 hour shift when you're on the ground min-maxing the opportunities. The Buzz we got at MIPCOM specifically led me into many rooms I'd've wished for years ago. @Claynosaurz & $HEEBOO coded, we live and breathe chasing big ideas and, eventually, having a massive impact.

Some people backed this before there was anything to back. One of one each, made by hand, onchain.
Roll call.
I thought I was tired of the Lane clip of 'if you're going to pay these players, and then they leave--what did you get'
But it's time to play it over the top of Harlem Berry highlights.

I once saw Bigfoot.
At least, I thought I did.
Turns out it was a guy in a Carhartt jacket carrying a rotisserie chicken across a Walmart parking lot at 11:40 p.m.
But for six beautiful seconds, I believed.
And I think that’s what Bigfoot is really about: hope, mystery, and never getting close enough to ask why he has a rotisserie chicken.
You can see every face. You can't see who owns one. xitter.cf/zaddrnet/status/209837…

I haven't taken much, or any really, time to digest everything that's happened in the last few months. (I realize I didn't even tweet a big message about Prime Video and what our content going up on really meant to me, as a person, having gone through so much shit in this space and being perpetually in startup and defence mode.) I don't celebrate wins much, it's always what next, what now, and how do we go even bigger? You go as high as the bar you set.
But holy shit, we've achieved things. Web3 is an incredible place. It's noisy, yes, but it's a place for dreamers, and by extension, crazy people that have a pulse on the future other's can't quite discern yet. It's punk and counter culture.
We were told so often that "we can't do this" "this isn't gonna work" and "I don't get it". Because it's unfamiliar territory, and that's uncomfortable for bystanders. Being a founder is all about leaning into discomfort, welcoming the trials, and leveling up. It's much easier when you have a die-hard community that begins to see the light and believes in your mission.
We've done insane things at @Claynosaurz. We will continue to do insane things at Claynos. We've challenged a status quo. And we will be a best-in-class community-driven collectibles entertainment brand for the digital age.
In just a day, the ecosystem has supported us in ways I don't even know how to react to right now. Over $1.1m to get this next adventure started. Your belief in us is fuel. Thank you, over and over. There is no finish line, and I think you know that about us.
You better believe we will do incredible, industry shifting things with HEEBOO. I am so turbo bullish on the possibilities that platform will create, and our trajectory. I am so bullish on the creator economy, because we live it ourselves, it's our story, in a way that's much more intimate and aligned, and that is where the future goes when legacy companies are dis-intermediated.
There is no Hollywood if it does not monopolize artists, fans and creators: there are simply content & entertainment creators. And they go wherever tf they choose. And they will build fan constellations as a moat. And those fans will also be builders, ambassadors, enjoyers, collectors, buyers, sellers, ideators. Participants. And that deserves alignment. That will be the only way forward. And that is the great promise of web3. A redistribution of power.
Higher.

I keep getting this question from investors/VCs re. @HeebooOfficial : how would you fix Netflix
If your Netflix you’ve got strong distribution position (your company is literally used as a verb), but you’re struggling on generating ROI on content spend.
You just lost the bid for WBD but you’ve got time to develop your own original stuff.
Content depreciates faster today than any other time in history.
So you need to move further upstream to creative talent discovery.
You need to build out a process for competing at the creative level. Not by looking for what hits on YouTube, you need to be earlier than that for a few reasons. Once it’s a hit on YouTube you’re already competing with other streamers/studios, and YouTube isnt geared for unearthing franchises. It’s geared for maximizing ad revenue. Thats a different biz model than building an entertainment franchise.
So what does it mean to move upstream?
Finance and lock in exclusivity with early creators. But give them the incentive to build and succeed. This can be an investment arm, incubator, etc.
Build out a team of creative scouts. Finding creative talent will be like finding sports stars early in their career. You want to sign them, built the relationship, help them succeed, and give them real opportunity.
You want those creators to release content and iterate often in some sandbox level environment. When they hit gold, they graduate.
You gotta prospect widely, and dig only as deep as warranted, until you hit gold, or in other words: franchise level.
Everyone always wishes they could have gotten in on the ground floor.
Your chance starts at the top of the hour.
