Very interest ear. Question: is that smut in these two florets?

When you grow up in “da nordth” (eg Michigan) you don’t think twice about stepping off the trail. Not so much in the south and mid-south. Beautiful copperhead my daughter and I found at Babler State Park, Wildwood, MO. This is a no touch situation.

When you raise your children not to fear bugs and they befriend the creepiest of crawlies… I wouldn’t even pick one of these up.
