I loooove signals in SolidJS. It's like hooks done right.
And now preact has them, where i can use all my deeper understanding of preact. Amazing!
FYI: This library even works with React (now the name finally makes sense lol)
Introducing Preact Signals: a reactive state primitive that is fast by default.
✅ feels like using plain values
🥳 automatic updates when values change
⏱ updates DOM directly (fast!)
🥹 no dependencies arrays

I can't stand these frontend patterns. We're solving the same problems we figured out 10 years ago. Except it's way less obvious and you have to work around the actual patterns the framework told you to use in the first place.

Server side render everything
amazon.com is server side rendered and has no client side rendering framework. The potential latency hit didn't justify it.
We were stuck with jQuery 1.6.4 😬
SSR React wasn't fast enough for us. This blew my mind.

Someone posted how happy they are with CSS Grid.
I've not played with grid yet
Still enjoying flex just fine.
Then again took me a while to switch from inline-block to flex
And before that from floats to inline-block
It was a quick jump from tables to floats 12 yrs ago though
