They need to be studied.
If you haven't worked hard and still failed, multiple times, you'd think hardwork is the magical key to success.
It isn't.
We don't like to hear this because we want to feel like we're in control of our results.
Hard work is important yes, but luck is way more important.
Creative Strategy is 85% research, 15% copywriting.
Once you understand the market and the consumer, the creatives become easy.
Been inactive for a couple of days, fell really sick.
But I'm back now.
Currently working on building my portlio so I can start applying for roles.
I feel excited, it's only a matter of time before something massive happens 🚀
There are two questions every cs must ask after creating a native ad:
1. Will this ad stop the scroll?
2. Is the ad relevant?
Your ad has only a couple of seconds to stop the scroll and deliver the message.
You need to make every second count.
This ad does that well.
If you're working on a laptop, I recommend buying a USB mouse.
It makes desktop navigation way more efficient.
Can't imagine going back to the touch pad at this point.
I realize that a lot of guys that make hiring posts don't respond to dms.
What's y'all problem?
Is it that you go through the portfolios and decide not to reply if the candidate isn't a good fit.
Or simply don't check your dms at all?
Notice the background of this image?
It's a bathroom.
Now look at the note, who's it from?
His girlfriend.
What pain point is the picture trying to communicate?
Probably groin odor.
The static essentially sold the message though visuals alone.
10/10 ad.
One very important principle I've learnt about creating static ads is the visuals.
They don't just have to look nice, they need to communicate a message.
If your selling a luxury product, the visuals of the static must communicate that luxury feel.
The primary reason why I started building case studies.
i was about to waste my time learning about creative strategy instead of actively practicing it.
A mistake that cost me 5 years: Thinking preparation was progress. Reading every book. Taking every course. Planning every detail. Meanwhile, someone dumber than me started badly and figured it out. Preparation feels productive but it's often just fear dressed up as strategy. You learn to swim by getting in the water, not by studying water.
