On A1 today: He's accused of stealing dozens of homes from elderly Black and Latino homeowners. He rents them out, sometimes on the city's dime, and owners have little hope of reclaiming the property. An investigation w/ @ted_clfrd & @camellia_elaine nytimes.com/2022/07/24/us/de…
This is a big step. Back in 2012, when the taxi union first pushed for this plan, the big taxi fleets opposed the idea. The industry today is vastly changed, and now the biggest medallion owner, taxi drivers and even Uber are on the same page.

It's the end of an era! History was made Friday night when the last ever train traveled over the Portal Bridge in New Jersey, officially ending decades of delays for Amtrak and @NJTRANSIT customers with the retirement of the 116-year-old bridge forever. And it’s fitting it was a NextGen Acela train, as it’s truly out with the old and in with the new.

This is a powerful read. Haven't sobbed like this in a long time. Kudos to @TrishaThadani for sharing her courageous journey to understand how her father fell for false hope offered to him after getting a cancer diagnosis. I'm gutted. nytimes.com/2026/10/04/magaz…

The Twin Towers, to me, was a very specific time in NYC history. 1973-2001. When New York was near bankruptcy, had high crime, and the whole country was shitting on the city. I see old pics of ppl with the Towers, I see ppl who saw beauty in this city despite the bad noise.

He took them year after year. Collecting hundreds of them.
