@TalkFreedom1776 very interesting artifact from Fort McPherson. You can tell that most forts in Louisville were built during the latter half of the war. Both McPherson and Elstner died in Sherman’s Atlanta Campaign, 1864. Louisville forts were built to honor them. No shots fired.
