In April 2026, Botswana’s annual inflation rate stood at 10.3%, an increase of 6.1 percentage points from the March 2026 rate of 4.2%. The primary contributors to the annual inflation rate in April 2026 were Transport group with the largest share of 7.4 percentage points,
followed by Miscellaneous Goods &
Services with a contribution of 1.1 percentage points, and Food & Non-Alcoholic Beverages contributing 0.9 of a percentage point.

Botswana’s annual inflation rate was 4.2% March 2026, an increase of 0.2 of a percentage point from the 4.0% recorded in Feb 2026. The primary contributors to the annual inflation rate were the Transport group, which accounted for 1.7 percentage points.
