The question assumes being a SAHM is just dishes and laundry. Raising humans is psychology, education, culture, long-term strategy — in real time. An intellectually restless woman doesn’t shrink at home. She builds there. Motherhood isn’t the death of ambition. For some women, it’s the highest expression of it.

🚨Instagram just SUSPENDED Children’s Health Defense. Hey Mark Zuckerberg, what happened to “no more censorship”? @finkd No clear explanation. No specific post identified. Just a vague claim that we violated “Community Standards.” What exactly did we violate? If you’re going to silence a non profit organization that is sharing the truth, the least you can do is tell us why. Thank you, @elonmusk, for providing a platform where we can continue speaking freely and share vital information so parents can make informed decisions. We will not be silenced. Tag @finkd and let him know if you stand with CHD.

🚨 WTF! New York dumped the literacy exam for TEACHERS, because only 61% could pass it. Not the kids… The teachers! That is the education system in one statistic. Lower the bar. Fail the kids. Call it progress.
Never forget that in New York they eliminated the literacy exam in 2017. And this exam wasn't for students - it was the literacy exam for TEACHERS. Only 61% could pass it!

🚨INCREDIBLE: During a multi-vehicle collision on the Route 90 bridge in Ocean City, Maryland, a 2-year-old girl was ejected from a pickup truck, falling nearly 30 feet into the Assawoman Bay below. Jonathan Bauer, who was driving across the bridge with his teenage daughter when the crash occurred, rushed over to inspect the wreckage. Looking down into the water, he saw the toddler floating face down and becoming unresponsive. Without hesitation, Bauer instructed his daughter to flag down first responders, removed his shoes, and leapt off the bridge into the bay. He swam to the little girl, lifted her onto his shoulder, and patted her back until she coughed up water and began breathing again. A passing pontoon boat quickly navigated toward them, pulling both Bauer and the toddler out of the water and transporting them to shore, where emergency personnel were waiting. The child was airlifted to a regional medical center for evaluation and released the following day in good condition. Bauer was later honored by local law enforcement and civic leaders for his decisive actions and selflessness.

🚨 THIS SHOULD CONCERN EVERYONE 🚨 Lindsay Clancy’s attorney, Kevin Reddington, reached out to blogger Aidan Kearney (“Turtleboy”) asking for his help with the Clancy case. The messages are right there in black and white. That matters because Kearney has a controversial history surrounding the Karen Read case, including allegations involving the harassment and intimidation of people connected to that trial. Now, after the Clancy mistrial, the lone holdout juror has been publicly identified and subjected to intense online scrutiny. Coincidence? Maybe. But it raises a very serious question: Why would a defense attorney seek out someone with this history for help on a case involving a jury? To be clear, contacting a blogger isn’t automatically illegal. But if anyone encouraged, facilitated, or participated in harassment, intimidation, retaliation, or interference with a juror, that’s a completely different matter and Massachusetts law provides serious penalties for juror intimidation and retaliation. A juror’s job is to follow the evidence and the law. They should NOT have to fear being doxxed or targeted for doing their civic duty. ⚖️ The courtroom is where evidence belongs, not the court of public opinion. These circumstances deserve answers and, if warranted, investigation.

'Masking' is increasingly presented as a uniquely neurodivergent act (e.g. see TikTok). But we all routinely suppress, change & perform aspects of ourselves to navigate social life. Everyone masks, & so by rebranding ordinary social adaptation as pathology we're sowing confusion.

Social media and higher education are dumbing down and indoctrinating people so well that we are becoming outnumbered by people who are not capable of critical thought and repelled by classic morality. It's a real problem.

There is no such thing as a “hard” or “easy” SAT, because the SAT is a tool that ranks students against each other, rather than against an absolute metric or benchmark. What there can be is an SAT that draws fine distinctions among top candidates and an SAT that does not. The SAT used to draw these distinctions. It used to have a standard deviation of 200 points, which means the entire range between 1400 and 1600 was dedicated to distinguishing among testers scoring above the 98th percentile. Now, a 1400 is around the 92nd percentile and high scores convey much less information because there are a lot more of them. This change was made at the behest of the schools, who are the SAT’s actual clients. What they want the SAT to do is set a floor below which they can auto-reject all applicants. Then they want to choose among the students above that floor based on subjective criteria. They do not want a test that tells them who the best students are, because they want that determination to be subject to their discretion. A “hard” SAT — a test that demonstrates to a greater degree than the existing SAT that the student excels at the particular skills assessed by standardized testing is a product without a market, because schools do not want to know this about students. Admissions officials do not want this data collected at all, because it disqualifies some of the students they prefer to admit.
Business idea: make a “hard SAT” and market it as an optional indicator students can submit as part of their application resume

One of our worst habits in education is that we lower standards because some students can't meet it. We call this "compassion." The problem with it is that when the standard is lowered for some, it bleeds into a lowering of standards for everybody. The whole classroom is now organized around the people least able or willing to meet the higher expectations. This is akin to what happens throughout our society writ large. Someone struggles, so instead of helping him rise to the expectation, we redefine what can reasonably be expected of him. This is true of moral standards, especially; we excuse irresponsibility or antisocial behavior, or we treat ordinary expectations as unreasonable demands on others. We do this long enough and everyone is living according to these diminished expectations. All boats sink with the receding waters of standards.

I’m a retired brain surgeon and I wanna tell you why you feel like life is passing by. I just need one minute to explain this to you so hang in there. Repetitive daily routines stop the brain from recording clear detailed memories. When every day looks the same, your brain does not track time the same as a clock does. It tracks change. If nothing new happens then days, months, and years start to blur together. This is know as Time compression. When life lacks variety, your brain compresses past days together, making it feel like time is sped up. To stop feeling like life is passing you by, add new experiences to your life. Break routine habits, like changing your daily home routine, taking a different route to work, or trying a new hobby. Schedule small trips or plan new adventures so your days do not blend together. Practice mindfulness by staying fully focused on what you are doing right now and not trying to race off to the next task. Keep a journal and write down happy memories or memorable parts of the day before you go to sleep. Take deep, calm breaths when you feel anxious or rushed to return your focus to the moment. You can and you will retrain your brain to not feel like life is passing you by by following these few simple measures.

Why is there a literacy crisis in the United States? Because this is how children are taught to pretend how to read and then they're passed along to the next grade. What they needed was phonics and background knowledge building read alouds. What they got was garbage and tricks.

But 5-year survival rates for most cancers improved dramatically? Melanoma survival: 65% (1990) → 93% (2020) Breast cancer: 75% → 91% Colorectal: 62% → 67% legitimate questions about research efficiency and funding allocation are fair but make sure you use age-adjusted mortality and survival rates, not absolute death counts

Still pretty firmly convinced that the main thing that caused our politics to go so sideways is that social media massively shifted the political voice away from people who actually do things to lots of social misfits and weirdos, and VERY CRAZY people, basically overnight.

Not sequestering the Lindsay Clancy jury was a GRAVE MISTAKE. Pink shirt-wearing female jurors are obviously going home and watching TlkTok brainrot, despite not being allowed to. It’s going to be next to impossible to seat an impartial jury at this point.

The idea that modern society doesn't talk about 'mental health' enough is hilarious. People are obsessed with themselves and their own feelings to the point of familial disintegration and cultural decline. Millions drug themselves to numb and alter normal emotions.

This is Dawson Clancy, 3, on the day he was murdered. He had just gotten himself dressed for the first time and his Dad snapped this picture of him celebrating. Later that day, Lindsay Clancy wrapped an elastic exercise band around his neck and mercilessly strangled the life out of him.

The support for Lindsay Clancy has honestly radicalized me against modern women. Materialism, substance abuse, promiscuity, abortion. Now triple child murder? Is there no sin the feminine hivemind WON'T embrace? Feeling very... dejected? I don't even know how to describe it.
