Subject Two, huh? It didn't take a genius to guess why he preferred being called Albedo. Ying couldn't imagine being a “subject”.
She looked down at the food he'd just given her, trying to maintain a neutral expression rather than one of disgust. She wasn't going to touch this.
That was the truth. Now it was time to use her well crafted lie (sprinkled with some truth), the backstory she'd fabricated to use in situations where she was questioned. It wasn't anything crazy. The more simple, the better the lie.

Of course they'd been here since... forever, really.
There was no way she'd risk eating that. She'd rather starve to death than risk falling ill because of that. Maybe that was his tactic, he didn't seem as hostile as before. But she still wouldn't let her guard down.

She was a little surprised when he asked for her name. He was definitely less harsh now, although there was still caution in his voice. She let out a quiet scoff of amusement.
"Maybe because you never asked before."
She paused then answered.
As he tossed materials into the fire, Ying studied his form. His personality was far from Albedo's, yet he was mostly identical. How strange. She chose not to comment on it. It might not be the best idea in this situation.

There was always an option to pull away and fight. Ying could do that. She might have gotten caught for lingering the the background, but her combat skills were far above average. However, she didn't want to start any conflict. She was a little curious about who she was with.

but it was the best he got.
“Sit down, get comfortable. You aren’t leaving here.”
He let her into a basement that was almost hidden. It wasn't too big. It only contained a few items that he deemed necessary. Ying wondered why this stranger needed a hideout in the first place. He didn't have good intentions, that much was obvious.
