Wanted to post what I sent to the Pioneer Press. Given my history of op-ed success it won't get published. But if you care about this subject, and you should, please re-post. It's my attempt at a recap with a big picture perspective...
“The most likely cause of the Covid pandemic was the U.S. Government’s funding of coronavirus research in a Chinese laboratory with poor safety standards. The NIAID, under Anthony Fauci’s direction, knew the research was dangerous but let it continue.”
This week is the anniversary of the dropping of two atomic bombs on Japan. Those bombs killed 120,000 people instantly, with another 100,000 lives lost dues to the aftereffects. Conversely, the Covid pandemic had 7.1 million confirmed deaths worldwide with estimates as high as 36 million. Over 1 million Americans died.
The splitting of the atom and viral research have something in common. They are both scientific by nature and in the case of corona virus research, extremely dangerous. As well both can lead to weaponization.
Gain of function research in a virus can make a virus more transmissible and even lethal. The latest Senate hearings have started to parse what “gain of function” means. Anthony Fauci, Director of NIAID for 38 years and Paul Rand of Kentucky certainly have their different definitions, which are quite important since it could mean Fauci had lied to Congress twice in 2021 when he said that NIH never funded gain of function research in the Wuhan, China lab. Multiple high level NIH officials have now contradicted this on record.
In 1986 I spent two months as an intern on the internal medicine service at UC San Diego. That very trying time saw us take care of many young men with AIDS who died, very quickly, which created an incredible fear amongst us involved in their care and across the nation. It was a time much worse than Covid as the dead were primarily young, strapping men.
Dr. Anthony Fauci became a revered scientific figure, a man of reason for that time. I (we) had such great respect for the man and his leadership during this panic.
So when I heard that Fauci, a man of science, called the lab-leak theory (out of the Wuhan Institute of Virology, a leading research facility for the study of corona viruses) a “conspiracy theory” in March of 2020, I was appalled. No scientist or physician would so quickly discount a possible theory. The lab-leak was a theory, not a conspiracy theory.
At the time, when Covid was changing our society and creating such fear, I thought maybe Fauci was trying to keep people from blaming China and lessening any Sinophobia that could embrace the citizenry. But it bothered me enough to keep watching the story closely as Fauci’s choosing of the word “conspiracy” was obviously deliberate given the man’s scientific background and stature. Sadly, I now realize that Fauci was trying to dissuade people from exploring this possibility. There are innumerable unanswered questions.
Some questions everyone should be asking;
Why were taxpayer dollars being sent to China for any research whatsoever?! China supplies weapons to Iran, consumes Russian oil to keep the Ukraine war going, steals U.S. technology and more.
Fauci, as head of the NIAID, was responsible for sending money to China, through a non-profit called EcoHealth, specifically the Wuhan lab to do research on the covid virus.
When I learned that we had given money to China, I reasoned it was because we couldn’t do this research here for legal, safety or ethical reasons. Turns out it was a good guess.
Gain of function research in the U.S. had a moratorium placed on it in 2014 because of serious breaches in safety, the same year the NIAID funded research in Wuhan and the same year by the way that Fauci’s pardon starts.
2) Why would we send money to China for any reason at all, but especially for research on something that could be used as a weapon?!
The reason for that is the oversight was left to NIAID, Fauci’s department. The Department of Defense was not involved and NIAID allowed EcoHealth (the grant recipient) to self-regulate itself as to wether or not it was doing gain of function research. As a matter of fact, DOD rejected an EcoHealth project in 2018, citing concerns of safety risks and gain of function potential.
Worse yet, in 2016 NIAID told EcoHealth to stop the research as it was gain of function (as the virus was now dangerous in mice) but allowed them to continue if they self-regulated. Then in 2018 EcoHealth reported they had done gain of function research but NIAID gave them a grant renewal anyway in 2019.
Wether you want to say Fauci lied to congress or not, that pales in comparison to what Fauci oversaw as director of NIAID. This time the coverup is not the worst part. The most likely cause of the Covid pandemic was the U.S. Government’s funding of coronavirus research in a Chinese laboratory with poor safety standards. The NIAID, under Anthony Fauci’s direction, knew the research was dangerous but let it continue.
I hope it is obvious by now the Dr. Fauci, in his hubris and in using his stature, has misled the media and public. His use of the word “conspiracy”, so early in the investigation, was telling for such an experienced and learned man.
This is NOT a Republican or Democrat issue. It is a serious matter of public health and scientific inquiry, as important as nuclear proliferation.
Masking, distancing, shutdowns be damned, that’s in the past. We must put those learnings to use. What is in front of us now is the need for a full understanding and debriefing of what exactly happened in our federal government and at Wuhan and how we can prevent it in the future. A full debate on the nature of this research is imperative. It is up to us, the citizenry, to demand answers and implore our media and Congress to do the same.

Yep. Dylan Adams is still with us at MN DHS, doing who knows what.
The public should ask Mary Moriaty why she didn’t hold Dylan accountable for causing approx $20K property damage.
And we need to ask Shireen Gandhi why we keep staff like Dylan in our agency when he makes us feel unsafe.

🚨 BREAKING: A group of Minnesota Department of Human Service employees are BEGGING President Trump to send in federal investigators to "HALT FRAUD" in Tim Walz's government
STOP THE THEFT! Something dark is going on in Minnesota, and the Somalians aren't helping!
"Our administrators are actively deleting incriminating evidence. Destroying data and documents. Thereby preventing us from attaining justice and preventing future fraud," Minnesota Department of Human Service Employees said
"We need a complete takeover of DHS administration and removal of DHS leadership from our data systems that include Medicaid billing, SWIFT, fraud hotline and others. We need forensic accountants to comb over the movement of funds, deletion of transactions and recovery of incriminating communications."
The group represents more than 480 current staff at the Minnesota DHS.
Walz is also reportedly REFUSING to release the documents that would shed a light on this fraud as well.
"Minnesota can’t stop fraud alone with our corrupt government. Please help." - @Minnesota_DHS

85% of the worlds refugees are Muslim.
Not one of the 56 Muslim countries are taking in refugees.
11 of these countries are the richest in the world.
If Islam is so great; why are Muslims countries not taking care of their own?
I’ve refrained from posting as I’m one degree removed from the cause but having seen this photo I’ve decided to get back in the game.
@AugieFB
You weren’t supposed to be here. Try a look at this photo and tell me you aren’t led by class and righteousness.
I’d love to see some No-Name Defense take over the NSIC from here. You guys ROCK!!! Get’er done. Love, Stan.

Power of belief part 4:
If you tell people they can change sex—that men can become women & vice versa—when people express their doubts (based on science & common sense) the people who believe it can either change their minds or provide evidence.
Cognitive dissonance prevents most of us from changing our minds.
There is no evidence people can change sex because they can’t.
Most people in this space then play word games with definitions (gender, not sex) or abandon semantic precision altogether (a woman is whatever someone who feels like one says it is, binary means you can be both or neither but can’t define either one, etc.)
If trans identity is important but the person doesn’t feel validated by others, that’s when emotions, especially anger and revenge, can escalate into violence.
Few express such emotions violently, but law of large numbers means even million to one odds will happen often in a population of 300 million adults.
This is why the truth matters, why free speech matters, and why the norms of peaceful protest and debate are vital.

When the first ten nationalities of sexual offence offenders in the UK all come from Islamic countries, that’s not coincidence.
It’s the direct result of a theology that twists human sexuality from the ground up.
When boys are taught that a woman’s hair is sinful, that her voice is shameful, and that being in the same room with her is dangerous, you don’t get men who respect women. You get men who grow up terrified of normal interaction.
Instead of learning how to see women as equals, they are told women are temptations sent by God to test them.
That doesn’t kill desire, it feeds obsession. A glimpse of skin becomes a trigger. Curiosity becomes fixation. Repression turns attraction into compulsion.
The system doesn’t just sexualize, it absolves.
If a man feels lust, it’s her fault. If he harasses, she provoked it. The theology reinforces this by promising heaven not as a place of holiness, but as a place of endless sex.
Houris, virgins described in graphic detail, are the prize. Lust isn’t something to overcome, it’s something to obey.
And it doesn’t stop with Muslim women.
For centuries, Islam treated non-Muslim women as war prizes. They were spoils, concubines, slaves, deemed morally impure and outside the protection reserved for Muslim women.
Capturing them wasn’t condemned, it was celebrated. That mentality hasn’t disappeared.
When men raised in this system arrive in free societies, where women walk unveiled and autonomous, they don’t see fellow citizens. They see targets.
They weren’t trained to respect women. They were trained to survive them or to own them.
That’s why when they step into the West, freedom looks like temptation, and independence looks like defiance.
That’s the mark of a hypersexual culture: constant arousal without maturity, repression without discipline, desire without responsibility.

In societies where food is abundant, war is distant, and rights are taken for granted, the human mind, restless and meaning-hungry, must invent oppression in order to feel morally alive.
The result is a generation that confuses discomfort with trauma, words with violence, and disagreement with persecution.
When you're not fighting to survive, you fight to feel. When you haven’t suffered, you perform suffering. When you've inherited everything, your rebellion becomes about tearing down the very foundation that handed it to you.
Woke ideology is the child of material excess and spiritual boredom. It’s a worldview that can only take root in a civilization so safe, so prosperous, so insulated from reality, that it loses the ability to distinguish between injustice and inconvenience.
It redefines privilege as oppression. It seeks moral superiority not through discipline or sacrifice, but through performative outrage and ideological conformity.
It survives because the very systems it undermines continue to fund it, protect it, and treat it as untouchable.
The West may have built the freest, safest, richest civilization in human history, only to watch it be dismantled by people who never had to bleed for it.
