.@bryan_caplan @ATabarrok I'm giving a talk @WeberStateU on July 31 about 3 climate bets, including ours. Anything you want me to pass along on your behalf? (Serious offer. Bryan I remember your kindness in sharing a message from me in the past.)
Good news for @bryan_caplan and @ATabarrok! They can still win our #globalwarming “traffic light” bet… if temps for the next 5 years fall to 1960s levels, i.e., about 0.95C lower than the average for the past 10 years. Details at standupeconomist.com/2025-up….
I've got a talk @WeberStateU on Jan 31 that covers the "are CO2 emissions peaking" bet I made. (I say No but hope I'm wrong!) @hausfath, @nickvanosdol: do you have a graphic or tweet I might include, maybe IYHO the most optimistic/pessimistic development? xitter.cf/standupecon/status/174…

Okay, so @mikejrob is out of the bet but @nickvanosdol is in and has confirmed, and so has @hausfath, each for $400. Good luck... I hope I lose! xitter.cf/nickvanosdol/status/17… xitter.cf/hausfath/status/174661…
Happy new year to @hausfath and @nickvanosdol! Just pinging you about my request for graphics or tweets (in case you missed it due to new year celebrations :).

@givebutter I’m with Emerson PTA in SLC and we’re currently running this fundraising effort: givebutter.com/9Gv46l. But some of the time people using our QR code (from your site) get this weird version of the website instead, can you help us?!?
.@LGHendersonUtah Please come see the premiere of our play Seize The Initiative! July 26 - Aug 4 @seizeSLC @GSLFringe. It's a great fit for #DisagreeBetter, so invite Gov. and Mrs Cox for a double date! (Or bring the kids; it's family friendly.) Details: standupeconomist.com/play/

The stand-up economist wrote a play! open.substack.com/pub/standu…
The stand-up economist has written a play--it's a romantic comedy about carbon tax ballot measures!--and I've launched a Kickstarter campaign to bring it to the stage! It sounds like an April Fools' Day story... but it's true! Read the script and more: kickstarter.com/projects/sta…

Front page headline in today's @sltrib Salt Lake Tribune (not about me, about J.C. Bradbury of @kennesawstate in Georgia). The legislature is unlikely to listen, but what a headline... and above the fold! Article here: sltrib.com/news/politics/202…
Five questions for @bryan_caplan about @AlexEpstein and his book. Thread below, or see my blog post: standupeconomist.com/five-qu…
5. If you agree with Epstein that “climate scientists lack the causal understanding of climate needed to make meaningful predictions” (p333) then why aren’t you willing to double down on our bet about global temperatures—you know, the bet you’re currently losing badly?
My answer to this last question: To paraphrase some slogans from President Johnson’s campaign against Barry Goldwater, “In your heart you think he’s right, but in your guts you know he’s nuts.” Lots of details in the post on my blog: standupeconomist.com/five-qu… /end
.@RichardTol do you agree with @AlexEpstein that the IPCC doesn't "seriously consider" CO2 fertilization and its "likely trillion of dollars' worth of crop-growth benefits"? Not my area of expertise, but there are many references to CO2 fertilization in AR5/AR6. Thanks!
