Tech debt is like every other debt. You can leverage it strategically or you can keep borrowing against it and ignoring it.
If you need the debt in order to survive to the 6 month mark, then do it, unapologetically. But not every action and choice is existential.
My middle school science class would have been much better if the teacher would have explained that we used a seemingly arbitrary thing like Kelvin, rather than a sensible unit like Celsius because "some day you'll need to divide by temperature and it can't be zero".
