Pillar #7-b: Advanced Alerts
@EridianAlpha and I use some of our own custom machine-level alerts.
Lido and @ethStaker each also have even more extensive alerting systems that tells you exactly what went wrong.
All of these are open source & can be used by anyone! DM for links.
Pillar #7-a: Basic Monitoring & Alerts
On a basic level, you want to know when your validators miss duties or underperforms so that you can take action.
@beaconcha_in, ethduti[dot]es @sbetamc, and @NodeSentnl are great entry points for this!
Pillar #5-b: Advanced Automation
With a USB-enabled UPS, you can configure automated graceful shutdown when main power line is cut & power back on when main power is restored.
This prevents database corruption & downtime + increases hardware lifespan.
