Built a cost calculator for AI voice agents since I kept doing these calculations manually. Covers STT, TTS, LLM, platform, and telephony costs across different providers. softcery.com/ai-voice-agents… Open to feedback on what would make this more useful.!

Just noticed this little "privacy report" icon in Safari after upgrading to the new macOS Big Sur. 1: x.com, uses @googleanalytics 2: chimpessentials.com, uses @usefathom It seems like Google Analytics is being blocked while Fathom Analytics works fine.

It would be interesting to understand the reasons behind this behavior. How does Safari detect trackers? Why is Google Analytics detected and Fathom Analytics is not?

Here's a little article from me on setting up CI for microservices structured as monorepo using GitHub Actions. The core point is to automatically generate a workflow for every microservice from a single workflow template. #DevOps #microservices #ci dev.to/stackdumper/setting-u…

I want to thank @summerwind and collaborators for their work on actions-runner-controller. It allows to run self-hosted runners for GitHub Actions in Kubernetes, and it saved me quite a lot of time and money after I ran out of free GitHub Actions minutes. github.com/summerwind/action…

Can anyone recommend a blogging platform? Ideally, it should: 1. Be simple and minimalistic 2. Provide straightforward writing experience 3. Provide me with my own website and domain 5. Have nice things like analytics and email lists Any ideas would be appreciated! #blogging

Discovered @collected_notes. Looks promising, I really enjoy their simplicity and focus on the core idea of note-taking with no overhead.

I've finally replaced nine previously fried servos, and now it's dancing like new! youtu.be/ZIyf05yftGI #hexapod #robotics

Everything looked too good, and the universe decided to intervene 😄. During the final test, bottom pins of the converter's MOSFET touched the screw of the top right servo, resulting in nice sparks and 9 burnt servos.

The Hexapod is finally starting to take shape.

The number of step-down converters is terrifying. I didn't do any efficiency calculations just yet, but I'm interested in building one big custom converter instead.

The next step is to add legs. Let's hope that servos have enough torque to lift this 1kg of a hexapod.
Working on a physics-based simulation for hexapod locomotion. Kudos to @rustsim for their amazing work on the nphysics library! #robotics #hexapod #physics #simulation #rustlang

I think I need a bigger desk.

Not sure if I should use these new TP MG996R servos for my project. Higher torque comes with the price of larger size, weight, and reduced speed. And, most importantly, higher energy consumption, which requires adding more batteries which again results in a heavier build overall.

Maybe I should just stick to MG90S for now.
