My greatest #rolemodel, my #grandmother, known for making the best cornbread dressing, would have turned 100 this week. #Madear, born June 4, 1920, earned her wings on April 10, Good Friday. Take great care of your love ones. Time is precious.

President Joe Biden ends his 2024 Presidential bid and endorses Vice President Kamala Harris to be the Democratic nominee. #TwitterNewsChat #XChat
My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term. My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this.

On this day 64 years ago, a group of brave Texas Southern University students led Houston’s first sit-in at Weingarten’s grocery store located at 4110 Almeda.  Their lunch counter sit-in was the first of many. Their peaceful protests played a critical role in the desegregation of Houston, making it a better place for everyone to live. #TSUSitIn60 #HoustonHistory #March41960

I am so excited to see @Katiera_Winfrey on @KHOU. It was her dream to become a journalist. After more than a decade of being a reporter across the nation, she returned to her hometown, #Houston. The @TexasSouthern alumna was a #MulticulturalReporter covering lesser known stories. Today, she anchored @KHOU’s morning newscast: youtu.be/lbxUvL5J7pg?si=I7Hz…

The story of #AfricaTown in Mobile, Al. and how it came to be is one that everyone should know. Anderson Cooper’s powerful piece on @60Minutes of the descendants’ unwavering determination and perseverance to ensure this history is never forgotten is remarkable. @africatown @africatownhpf
