The number 1 complaint I hear from people is they just don't know wtf to do with AI agents
They set up Grok Bot, Muse, Hark, Dots, Hermes and then do nothing with it
So I'm launching a free project: Agent Use Cases
It's a website that scans the entire internet every day and finds every use case people do with AI agents
Searches across basically every site on the internet to see what people are doing with AI agents that is making them money/providing them value
Use cases are organized by category and which agent they're used in
Gives you the use case, end result, and prompt to steal the use case
Some cool use cases I've already discovered:
1. Finding unclaimed money online
2. Negotiate phone bill down autonomously
3. Teach an agent to day trade
It's completely free. Nothing pay walled. You can just go on and discover cool new use cases
I'd recommend browsing then giving the link of this post to your agent and having it find use cases relevant to you
Sign up for the newsletter if you want 5 new use cases in your inbox every morning too
Check it out: agentusecases.ai/
We are still in the earliest chapters of directing machine intelligence towards acts of automation. So hellbent on finding efficiency in what we already do
We have not yet priced how abundant machine intelligence reshapes human intelligence. Finding opportunity in what we never dreamt of doing
Technology to empower human agency, that is the whole point

New app alert - compare Lyft, Waymo and Uber prices for given route - from our amazing Pebble summer intern.
I'm using it. It beats my usual fingerdance of checking several apps. It runs 100% locally on your phone, which is important since it needs enter your uber/lyft creds
My app to compare Uber and Lyft prices is now on the Play Store!
Try it out: play.google.com/store/apps/d…
iOS soon, join the waitlist at hackney.app

Last summer, I got so hooked on vibe coding that I wrote a 40 page memo on how it'd change the future of software
These were the days of brute-force copy/pasting between ChatGPT, the terminal, and IDEs
Today the world already looks so different and it genuinely feels like we are just getting started
Excited that Figma Make is out for everyone starting today. Try it out, give us your feedback, and pay attention bc we've got so much more to build in this space!

YC deadline is May 13th.
I've been part of the YC community for over a decade.
I found YC to be the best path to establishing the precise urgency, routines & focus that set each of my startups up for success at their most nascent stages.
Consider applying tonight, or reply back with why you're not and I'll answer.

Pretty sad for @Columbia1938 Sportswear to charge a fee to make a return to their online store. I am sure it costs them more than the fee to process the return so all it does it deter me from ever buying from you again.

From 2003-2007 a group of 8 Rhode Islanders built and lived in a secret apartment inside a busy local mall
Jesse Eisenberg made a movie about it that releases today. Looks awesome.

#Grok3 just blew my mind.
I'm attempting to set up (partition and format) an old SCSI drive on a 1980s PDP-11/73 connected to an aftermarket Emulex UC17 controller rocking both a ZuluSCSI emulator AND a real ST43400N drive. Pretty obscure stuff.
The problem is banal - the drive has a current "temp" partition table created by the 211BSD UNIX kernel that's seemingly random - or at least very wrong. The catch is you can't shrink even an imaginary partition, so you can't fix it, at least not easily.
Grok correctly figured out that the best way to fix it was to create an offline partition table in a file and then write it directly to the disk, without trying to read what was currently reported at all. By bypassing the current label and stuffing the current geometry onto the drive, you could fix it in a single step.
The entails creating the entire partition table with all the correct geometry (heads, cyls, interleave, etc) for an ancient Seagate ST43400N.
The first time I hit this problem, a few months back, I used ChatGPT. After an hour or so of back and forth, "we" solved it, but it was multiple steps involving custom distkab entries.
Since Grok 3 is new, I figured I'd give it a shot:
It coughed out the right answer, including the partition table template for me to use, the first time, first prompt.
I did give it the source code to the disklabel command, which appears to have helped a great deal.
Given there just isn't that much 211BSD information out there on the web, I'm surprised and impressed!

Lots of wrong answers in the replies. As the former King of SMS, it’s simple:
It’s to warm the number.
You cannot send bulk texts containing a URL until your number has earned credibility with phone carriers.
To earn credibility, it needs to have replies from other numbers. So the message they send is always something that tries to elicit a response from you.
Once response rate is high and the phone number is warmed, they send tens of thousands of spam links to people.
Best way to fight back? Replying STOP in all caps will immediately flag the number.

Typing “how r u” is not a smart way to save time. It signals that the receiver isn’t worth your time.
8 studies: When we use text abbreviations, others are less responsive. Shortcuts seem insincere, reducing their interest in engaging.
In relationships, a little effort goes a long way.
