Calling Canadian Tech Innovators and Companies: Apply to Demonstrate Live at #GCXpo 2026 at @AreaX_O in Canada's Capital Your technology is ready. Are the right potential customers and investors seeing it? Join us at GCXpo, our epic national emerging tech demo day at Area X.O. We are calling Canadian innovators, founders and companies to come and demonstrate their amazing technologies and solutions in defence, dual-use and agri-tech for prospective customers, investors, partners and our community! There is no cost to demo. Spots are limited. And applications are now open. Join us: • Tueaday, September 29, 2026 • Area X.O (Greenbelt), Ottawa • Apply today: bit.ly/4fe1Hpa At Area X.O, we believe commercialization happens when innovators and firms can co-create, validate and demonstrate their tech safely, in real-world conditions, with the people who matter most: end users, current and prospective customers, government buyers, investors and industry partners. This is exactly why we created GCXpo with the Government of Canada. On September 29, Canada's national technology demonstration day returns to Area X.O, our R&D complex for emerging technologies and NATO DIANA Test Centre. This isn't a trade show. It's where Canadian innovators and firms meet current and prospective end-users, customers and investors; demonstrate their solutions live; validate their technology; build customer confidence; forge strategic partnerships; and accelerate their path to market, revenue and growth. If you're building technologies in: • Defence and dual-use • Security • Agri-tech ...we want to see you demonstrate. Our team will support you every step of the way as you showcase your technology in live operating conditions, leveraging more than $60 million in infrastructure and assets designed to help innovators commercialize faster. Apply to Demonstrate Now: bit.ly/4fe1Hpa Because the future doesn't belong to the companies with the best technology. It belongs to the companies whose technology gets adopted and deployed.

True North Strong and Free Today, on the 159th anniversary of Canada's founding, and the 61st year of our iconic maple leaf, we honour both a nation and a promise. Our flag is more than a symbol. It embodies our values, our resilience and our sovereignty. It represents the generations who built our country and those who are shaping our future. In a world marked by uncertainty, it remains a powerful beacon of unity, hope and possibility. It reminds us of who we are: a people who rise together in the face of adversity to build something greater. This year, perhaps more than most, our flag reminds us: Canada is worth choosing and worth building together, every single day. And it shows the world what it truly means to be the true North: strong, free and fiercely sovereign. We are a nation of builders and believers, of dreamers, doers and disruptors. A country shaped by people from every walk of life, entrepreneurs and Elders, innovators and artists, scientists and storytellers, educators and youth, policymakers and pioneers. Each one is forging change and helping to build the Canada we are becoming. Every day, I am inspired by the amazing people driving change in our economy, society and world. Here in Canada's Capital, I see it firsthand through the founders, companies and partners we are privileged to collaborate with at @Invest_Ottawa. Across our country, I witness the power of people working together with us and many others to address our greatest challenges and seize grand opportunities with ambition, conviction and grit. Our greatest strength as a nation has always been, and will always be, our people. Canadians from every walk of life bring bold ideas, deep talent and unwavering courage to everything they do. They are building our Canada of tomorrow. One where prosperity, opportunity and innovation are shared across generations and every region of our country. As we honour our nation today, we honour them. We honour the vision of a Canada where every person can grow, contribute and fulfil their dreams. We honour the important steps we've taken and the critical work still ahead. This is our moment. Together, we can: · Build an economy where everyone has a stake in our shared success and even more reasons to choose Canada, together · Put innovation to work for good, driving opportunity from coast to coast to coast · Create lasting prosperity, with no one left behind · Take meaningful steps on the path to Truth and Reconciliation · Show the world what it means to lead with integrity, empathy and bold ambition As the Maple Leaf rises today, it reminds us we hold: · The power to lead boldly with vision and conviction · The responsibility to learn from our past and build a better tomorrow for all · The fortitude to create a future worthy of this sovereign nation we are so fortunate to call home Thank you to every person realizing this vision. Every day, we will show the world what it truly means to be Canadian. We are resilient. We are sovereign. And we are unstoppable. Photo: Darryl Dyck/CP
