The real question to ask is: where do the prize purses awarded after the race come from? They come from the revenue the organizer generates and the portion they subsequently decide to pay out to the athletes. 1/2
The difference in prize money for the men's vs women's TdF overall win... Hear me out, I know the men do 21 stages and women do 9 stages, SO to put things into better perspective - that's roughly €23,800 per stage for the men and €5,555 per stage for the women. So when you break it down, that's a gap of roughly €18,200 for each stage... not to mention that I'm quite sure the women would race more stages given the opportunity, so there's a long way to go for equality on this one🤔 What do you think?

Even if the organizer's profit margin seems excessive, it is clear that the revenue generated in men's events is higher. It therefore makes economic sense for them to receive higher prize money. It is simply a matter of economics. 2/2

Your private keys were born in a black box. Do you truly know how they were made? If your hardware wallet’s internal Random Number Generator is flawed, the cryptographic wall protecting your wealth is hollow.

Send an email to a friend in Tokyo, and it arrives in seconds. The internet doesn't care about geography. Try to send that same friend $100, and the system breaks down.

We built a 21st-century communication network on top of a 19th-century financial rail. Bitcoin decoupled money from the nation-state. It operates as a single, neutral, globally accessible settlement layer. It doesn’t know what a border is.

It doesn’t close on weekends. It doesn't care what passport you hold. It finally gave the internet its missing native currency.

Before the internet, a few gatekeepers controlled the flow of information. They decided what we read, what we watched, and what we believed. Then came the web, tearing down the walls and giving a voice to anyone with a connection.

But while our words became free, our wealth remained captive. We digitized our money, but left the old gatekeepers in charge. We let corporations and banks dictate who gets to transact and at what cost. Bitcoin is the internet of value.

It does for your wealth what the web did for your voice. Uncensorable. Borderless. Yours.
