The best statement to come from the best leader of the most responsible nationalist organisation which always transcended it's own organisational interest to support the nation even though it was led by congress governments which were keen on destroying the RSS When Mohan Bhagwat says something it isn't an ordinary statment. It is backed by RSS penance and discipline that always upheld larger national interest and not any narrow interest. See the RSS record of the last 75 years (With refrences)! 1. When Maharaja Harisingh was in two minds about accession, at the instance of Sardar Patel RSS chief Golwalkar went to J&K on Oct 17-18 1947 and persuaded him to accede which he did on Oct 26 Ref: India: Shedding the Past, Embracing the Future, 1906-2017, written by Arun Bhatnagar 2. When in 1963 Nehru who hated RSS banned it and said he will not give an inch of land for Bhagwa to fly invited it to join the RDay parade it participated Ref: While the left disputed Nehru invited that RSS participated was a fact. It is foolish to say RSS participated without Nehrus allowing it to be invited 3. When Shastri asked Guruji Golwalkar for volunteers during the 1965 war. It offered 4 lakh volunteers Ref: share.google/aimode/znHYLP8o… 4. When Jana Sangh wanted Punjabi Hindus to disown Punjabi language and declare Hindi as their mother tongue RSS put up posters held public meetings asking Hindus to say punjabi as their mother tongue Ref: share.google/aimode/MSWlHnxG… 5. In 1969 when the Congress (which under Indira was baying for RSS blood) split and Jana sangh saw it as an opportunity Golwalkar said congress split was not in national interest Ref: share.google/aimode/yKhlDdRx… 6. During the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) actively aligned with the national interest and mobilized its volunteer network to support Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's government and the Indian Armed Forces. The RSS officially paused political differences to offer unconditional cooperation during the national crisis: In line with their activities in previous wars (1962 and 1965), thousands of RSS volunteers mobilized across India to act as a crucial secondary support forces Despite the deep political and ideological divide between the Congress and the RSS, the 1971 war created a brief period of mutual national alignment: Golwalkar's Praise: Following India's historic victory and the surrender of Pakistan on December 16, 1971, RSS Chief M.S. Golwalkar wrote a warm, congratulatory letter to Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on December 22, 1971. He praised her leadership, stating that "the biggest measure of credit for this achievement goes to you Ref: share.google/aimode/evaeaHXN… In return for all this the congress abused the RSS banned it jailed thousands of Swyamsevaks during emergency But the RSS resisted the Emergency through non violent satyagraha 7. During the early 1990s—a period when the BJP's political influence grew rapidly through the Ram Janmabhoomi movement—the RSS engaged in parallel, back-channel negotiations with the centrist governments of Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar and Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao to explore a peaceful, negotiated settlement Confrontation would have been more beneficial for RSS but upheld national interest over it's own 8. During the UPA years the RSS did not launch any agitation for Ayodhya Temple-- it's core issue -- but preferred to wait for 15 years for judicial resolution Still the Sonia Congress abused it as fascist and not law abiding 9. Sonia rule attempted to fix the falsely in the cross border sanjhauta terror to make the world look at RSS as a terrorist outfit Ref: share.google/aimode/pYflmJVO… 10. During the UPA rule the BJP brought up in RSS culture launched mass but peaceful agitations in 2005, 2007 and 2011 and Vajpayee Advani and other leaders courted arrest and did not jump on traffic barriers Two different cultures noticed by media is brought out in the next tweet
🚨India is the 'ultimate target' of regime change operators: RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat "India’s rise will put a stop to these operations."

Must have happened with CAA, Farmers protests too. A little late. Protests are fine, however, like other citizens file a case wait for your turn and resolve properly!
ASTONISHING: CJP’s Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das still in judicial custody for trespass and violation of prohibitory orders while waving the tricolour at Jantar Mantar (not an act of violence by any reckoning), and Hindu Raksha Dal members who were caught on camera beating protestors out on bail (an act of brazen goondaism). Yeh hai kanoon??😡

Replying “NO” can empty your bank account ⚠️ Hyderabad City Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar, has warned of a new WhatsApp scam in which no OTP is shared and no link is clicked. How it works: 1.Fraudsters send a fake WhatsApp message from an unknown or international number, saying money has been debited from your account. 2.A second message follows: “If you did not make this transaction, reply NO.” 3.In panic, victims reply “NO”. Hidden links and malware scripts in the message then activate on their own (an “auto execution file attack”), giving hackers full control of the phone. The money disappears within moments. The Commissioner said a chartered accountant recently lost lakhs of rupees this way. What to do: ✅ Never respond to WhatsApp messages about bank transactions from unknown numbers, not even with “Yes” or “No”. Block the number and delete the message. ✅ If you get a debit alert, don’t panic. Log in to your official net banking or mobile app and check your statement. ✅ No bank asks for “Yes” or “No” replies on WhatsApp. If in doubt, call only the official toll-free customer care number on your passbook or the back of your card. Lost money? Call the national cyber helpline 1930 immediately or file a complaint at cybercrime.gov.in. Reporting within the first hour, the “golden hour”, gives the best chance of freezing the fraudsters’ accounts and saving your money. One hasty “NO” can wipe out a lifetime’s savings. Stay alert. 🚨

Fixing Bengaluru problem needs concerted efforts supported by reliable & scientific data. In the pace of allowing rapid growth, we missed integrating some basic but essential measures for a long term and sustainable growth. Glad that people like Manas @manasgond have come forward with practical and real-life solutions.
Enough is enough. We mapped Bengaluru traffic to prove it is a huge civic and health risk that is taking lives and costing us lakhs just to exist here. Some extremely sad data we found: i) In a heart attack every 30 minutes of delay before treatment raises the risk of dying within a year by 7.5%. At 6 pm traffic here can add 25 minutes to an ambulance ride. ii) Bengaluru has the most deaths from civic negligence in India. In August a 32 year old woman was killed when the bike she was on swerved around a pothole. iii) Rush hour takes about a month of working hours from a commuter every year, like an 8% pay cut. Living near the tech parks to avoid it costs ₹1.6 to ₹2.4 lakh more a year in rent. iv) You have access to only 3 out of 10 essential public facilities (schools, hospitals, toilets etc) at 6pm within a 30 minute vicinity. v) The ORR carries more than double the traffic it can handle. Last year a company said it would leave Bellandur over 1.5 hour commutes and another state invited it within a day. vi) The ORR bus lane cut bus trips by about 20 minutes. It was removed in 2022 for metro work and still is not back. This is intolerable for a city that drives so much of India's economy. We cannot let India's Silicon Valley stall. My team has put the most immediate fixes that will help solve this + how delayed/pushed they have been. Tag the people who can fix it: Traffic police or Namma Metro or GBA or the CM's office and let us all be honest and tell us what 6 pm has cost you. #Bengaluru #BengaluruTraffic

Mr. Vembu, I came back after my Harvard programme wanting to build in India. I still do. But my experience has shaken my faith in the system. I’m working in AI and healthcare. Even getting clarity on the regulatory pathway for a clinical validation study has been a struggle. In education, I’ve encountered resistance to adopting AI. My qualifications feel irrelevant when institutions won’t engage with the work. And when basic civic issues arise, police support has been difficult to secure. Where is the conducive environment we’re asking people to return to? Who is accountable for giving founders clear regulatory answers? How do educators evaluate new technology responsibly? Where does a citizen turn when local authorities don’t help? What recourse exists when nobody takes ownership? You’ve built here. What concrete governance reforms would you push for and how can people like us help make them happen? “Come back, let’s build” is a call I believe in. How do we make the system support those who answer it?
Indians have made a major contribution to America's technological prowess. Yet, a big part of America no longer wants us. Indians who are on a visa in the US face the painful prospect of uprooting the life you have built with hard work. Let this be the birth pains of a bold new future. Come back, let's build India 🙏

🙏 @avinashraghava Lift-Off Nation
On my recent flight from San Francisco back to Delhi, I opened a book about India’s next generation of startups. Before I got to page one, I had to stop for a while. Because @RajanAnandan had written me a note. He had no obligation to do so. But he did. That’s Rajan. And that’s why this book already means a lot more to me. The Lift-Off Nation, written with Saurabh Srivastava, asks a much bigger question than where Indian startups stand today. Where could India be by 2047? I’m just a few chapters in, but the optimism feels familiar. World-class talent starting up. Founders building for the world from day zero. New companies emerging across AI, healthcare, manufacturing and deep tech. Capital, infrastructure and ambition beginning to converge in ways we haven’t seen before. For years, many of us have spoken about India becoming a #ProductNation. Perhaps the more interesting question now is whether the lift-off has already begun. Rajan has been one of those people I’ve learnt from over the years, not just because of what he knows, but because of how generously he gives that knowledge back to the ecosystem. So it feels particularly special to hold this book, and even more special to find a small acknowledgement of our own journey inside it. The Lift-Off Nation launches today, and I’m rooting for it alongside many other fellow ecosystem builders. Congratulations, Rajan and Saurabh. I have a feeling this book will start a lot of important conversations about the India we are capable of building. For now, I’m going back to reading. :)

Dear Elon @elonmusk You hv certainly stirred up plenty of reaction with ur posts. But this needs a response from me, as did ur “Electronic Voting machines can be hacked” post from some time ago. As someone who knows a little bit abt Telecom as someone who played a decent-ish role in building Indias wireless sector as an Entrepreneur and then as a policy maker , let me share my thoughts. It is true that Indias Telecom was a sector beset with opaqueness and corruption for several decades - where cronies ruled under the benevolent love and the politics of ur latest fan (name not withheld - @RahulGandhi ) But under PM @narendramodi , 3 principles govern the tech (including Telecom/Internet) sector. Open, Safe & Trusted and Accountable. #OSTA ✅ Open - Free from any monopoly-duopoly. Free and fair competition. ✅ #SafeAndTrusted - Infra, Network , Platforms must be safe and trusted. ✅ Accountable - Every participant should be legally accountable for safety and trust. I was a MP first and then part of PM @narendramodi jis team when this framework was developed. I have more than a little experience of fighting years of political and bureaucratic opaqueness and corruption, which shaped these principles. so todays India is not that old crony driven India. I am not in govt anymore and certainly dont speak for it. But it seems to me that Govt has made it clear: all three satcom licensees are at broadly the same stage of ensuring security clearance by verifying its safety and trust first, then spectrum. Satellite IP services have many security implications. More so in a country like India which has faced years of Terror and insurgency supported by inmical state actors in our neighbourhood. From 26/11 terror attacks to recent ones in Pahalgam, satcom has been preferred comm for Terrorists. Satellite VOIP and encryption creates more challenges security wise. Not insurmountable but new capabilities and capacity hv to be built to ensure Safety and Trust. I hv used @Starlink and I think its awesome technology - and represents a new era in mobility innovation. No doubt. But a country has to plan for itself and its interests before every new choice. Thats what India is doing. Patience is unavoidable and in this case is a necessity.
Starlink is licensed in over 165 countries and has spent five years complying with every single law and requirement of the government of India, so why still no license? Is Ambani the real boss of India?

It was a matter of when, not if this Nobel would happen. Awesome to see it. It is worth noting that @KarlDeisseroth lab shared optogenetic tools far and wide from the very beginning, and thereby facilitated so much discovery. Fun fact: Karl was the first guest ever on the HLP.
BREAKING NEWS The 2026 #NobelPrize in Physiology or Medicine has been awarded to Karl Deisseroth, Peter Hegemann and Georg Nagel “for their discoveries concerning light-gated ion channels and optogenetics.”

What a thread!
Okay. I going to bite the bullet and write it here. A lot of friends ask me to talk to their high school kids to "motivate" and "direct". The kids love our conversations, but some of my friends don't. Let me write it here and you be the judge!
