Hello @webflow people 👋 I built an webflow extension (Tvari) that converts HTML/CSS into native webflow elements & styles.⚡ Paste your code → get structured layouts. It’s been a long time in the making. I’ll be sharing more about it very soon.🚀 #Webflow #BuildInPublic #Tvari

People like me exist. Not BJP fans, but honest enough to acknowledge its work on terrorism and infrastructure, while questioning its failures in education, law & order and the judiciary. But that doesn’t mean I’ll suddenly start seeing Rahul Gandhi as PM material. Musk attacking, Umar Khalid winning an international award, US interference, protests everywhere. Maybe these are separate issues, maybe not. But the timing does make you wonder. I can oppose BJP without wanting its alternatives to run India.

It's like something changed overnight at Anthropic. They are giving offers on top of offers. I have 5 Claude subscriptions. Their limits are so good now - I am really starting to consider for the first time to cancel a few subs. On top of it, now they are also giving free API credits every month. Then there is also a startup program - which got accepted in a minute. I don't know what's happening inside their company right now...

@shipstudio_app v1.3 just launched, and it's one of the best releases yet. Building isn't a one person job. It takes a team. Introducing, multiplayer in Ship Studio. See everything your team is doing. Write comments and talk to your team about them. Trace each line back of code to the person who's agent wrote it. Enterprise-grade audit log out of the box. How did I do this, let alone so fast? Easy! There's always been a free, open source collaboration layer for enterprises - GitHub - but, you can't expect everyone to use GitHub properly. Ship Studio multiplayer brings the team benefits and enterprise readiness of GitHub to technical builders, designers, and marketers. On all Ship Studio projects, by default, as of v1.3 - your agents will be pre-loaded with skills telling them how and when to log updates to your repo - and all Ship Studio projects will display your teams' activity right back to you. Enterprise-ready agentic development workflows for agencies don't need to wait - they're already here. Your team just hasn't had the right workflow to leverage it efficiently - until today. So excited to see your thoughts on this new release, I've been working so hard on it and I think it's going to be one of the most impactful releases yet 💚🖤 Onwards 🫡 P.S: There's a new 'start from URL' option too. Try it out and tell me what you think.

A lot of people ask me how to "migrate a site to Ship Studio". Just wanted to explain quickly. You don't. @shipstudio_app is a local editing environment for custom builds of any kind, from @astrodotbuild websites to @expo mobile apps. So - if your site is locked away in something proprietary, you have to migrate it to custom code, and then, you can then build agentically and/or visually in Ship Studio, or any other app!

So, my thoughts on the Webflow Conf keynote. I think it's an understatement to say Webflow fumbled this whole AI transformation. But fumbling doesn't mean the play is over. For the past few months, it's felt like the ball was going to hit the ground at any second - but, some of their recent blog posts (ie: 'getting to the source') showed me that the ball wasn't quite on the ground yet. This conference, to me, felt like the moment where Webflow was either going to catch the ball, or we would all watch it hit the ground. So... the keynote. To begin, we got 40 minutes of new and updated features - although, notably, they were mostly features targeting marketers in enterprise teams. Fine. I was there in the chat telling everyone to let them cook. Then... the last 20 minutes - introducing, Source by Webflow. Your own codebase. Your own stack. Your own CMS. All in one desktop app. Sounds like something I'd like, perhaps even something I'd build 😉 So - they caught the ball? Honestly, if Webflow released this back in January, we might be looking at a very different reality. But they didn't. In fact, they didn't even release it today - it's in 'research preview', and will be 'rolled out to select customers over the next few months'. Ouch. See... 'a few months' in this market is an eternity. Within 'a few months', Ship Studio was built from scratch, tested, launched, and put on the machines of hundreds of agencies and freelancers. What seems cool today will not seem cool in ~3 months. Remember app gen? AI assistant? However, even if it was launched today... there's something HUGE missing. Pricing. Let me give you an example. Ship Studio is cool. Thousands of people use it every day. But if I put a paywall on it, even $20 a month, 99.9% of users would leave. Why? Well... because you can get the exact same thing without Ship Studio. Frontier coding agents like Codex, tried tested and true enterprise governance with GitHub, AI-accessible product analytics with PostHog, enterprise-grade hosting with Vercel... you get the idea. The moat is gone - the workflow outlined by Webflow in their demo of Source is truly the future, I agree - but this isn't a new thing. Now, Webflow has announced their existing product to be the old way, and their new alternative isn't available for use yet... and when it is, the competition won't be Framer - it will be free and open source tools... and believe me, you can't compete with free. Anyways - the point of this post isn't to say that Webflow's ball hit the ground. It's an honest post on my reaction from me, someone who's used the product for 8 years, and knows and loves dozens of people who rely on Webflow's continued success. And to Webflow's team - I am more than happy to share any and all feedback with you amazing people. This isn't over just yet. But I cannot stress enough to you how important it is that Source ships quickly. Julian out 🫡

We're hiring for a *very* important role! @BradfordHuber4 and I started @thenativeagency 2 months ago to reimagine what an agency looks like in the AI era. The clients' response has been incredible, and we're clearly on the right path. Bradford and I are super talented guys - but in the design field, we're just good - not great. We're looking for greatness. Someone who wants to join us and think outside the box. Someone who's fed up with the traditional agency process, and wants to take the initiative to make it better - with the backing of other talented and quick-moving people. If this sounds like you, please apply at the link in the thread. P.S: Please repost to share the opportunity with people in your network <3

Early traction & progress has been amazing, and we're looking to expand the team. @webflow promoting the MCP 2.0 working with branching is so funny to me. As of today both branching and site activity logs are enterprise-only features, and therefore only a small percentage of their users can use them. Having solid branching & activity logs IS incredibly important when working with AI. Being able to allow your agent to work in a controlled environment without the potential of breaking anything is so crucial in any sort of serious AI workflow. I've seen that so much as I've leaned into agentic development. What's funny to me is that this is a basic/free feature outside of Webflow. - Github (free) - Framer (included on all plans) And don't even get me started about how much better Github branching is than Webflow/Framer branching. You still can't create a full site branch and are limited to just creating page branches. Huge inconvenience especially when working with AI. So for anyone considering the difference between Webflow & an AI Native Stack (I use Next.js/Astro + Sanity), keep this in mind. Most of the features that are so crucial to this way of working in Webflow are still stuck behind an enterprise paywall.

AI Agent as a Service (AIAaaS) is the new paradigm. But SaaS is definitely not dead...

The moat isn't AI anymore. Everyone has access to great models. The moat is organizational latency. How long does it take your company to: - make a decision? - start a partnership? - launch something? - change direction? The fastest company wins.

Everyone vibe-coding SaaS replacements for their company is going to be stoked when: 1. They realise they're go-to person when things break - and they're busy working but now need to fix bugs. 2. They can't debug because they don't know how to find logs or even have logging setup. 3. They spend a bunch of time training people and answering questions because the product is unintuitive. 4. They're now a product manager, and people ask for features. But they don't have foundational knowledge in product management. 5. People end up at dead ends without feedback because there's no great error-handling. I'm all for people building tools with AI, but building an MVP is the fun and easy part. Turning the MVP into a real product that is robust and easy to use for everyone is hard. Being the product manager and the go-to-person when things go wrong is hard. Anyone that has ever built a product with a bunch of users knows this. For those that haven't it's an unknown unknown and the reason they are in unconscious optimism.
