OK, launch day!!
Over the past few weeks I built a fully browser-resident implementation of COLMAP, using WASM and WebGPU (-- link in reply --).
No uploads, no installs, no setup. Just drop images or video and run the pipeline. Then export and drop results into a 3DGS tool of your choice.
The first naive implementation was about 10x slower than native but with many optimizations it's now faster than the original!

#WATCH The driver was reportedly caught by the public and, admitted that he doesn’t have a driving licence and had started driving just five days ago. He also appears to be a minor.
If that is true, the bigger question is: WHO owns the vehicle, and who handed it over to an unlicensed driver?
The driver may be off the road for now, but unless the owner is identified and held accountable, he could be back behind the wheel by tonight or tomorrow.

Accountability MISSING ⛔️
This is not an “accident”. This is a governance failure with a body count waiting to happen.
For months, #Varthur and #Gunjur residents have been begging authorities to fix this road. Work started, was abruptly stopped, and now we hear about re-tendering. Meanwhile, commuters are left to navigate a dangerous, unfinished stretch every single day.
Then comes a tanker without a number plate, allegedly driven by a person who reportedly had no driving licence and had learnt driving only five days ago.
If this is the standard of road maintenance + contractor supervision + enforcement + accountability, what exactly are taxpayers paying for?
Officials cannot hide behind tenders, files and “process” when citizens are risking their lives on these roads.
