Cancer does not wait. Neither should a child's care. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. I know this is a cause that is personal to many people in PiastriHive, and one that we have rallied around before. So this year, I wanted us to come together to support children with cancer and the families by their side. Around 210 children are diagnosed with cancer in Gaza every year, while the healthcare crisis has severely disrupted access to the treatment, medicines and specialized care they need. The only pediatric hospital has been forced to close, leaving children and their families facing an already devastating diagnosis under circumstances where even accessing lifesaving care can become an enormous struggle. The Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF) has been working to provide medical care and support, including rebuilding Gaza's first and only pediatric oncology department and helping restore access to specialized cancer treatment. So, this September, I have set up a PiastriHive fundraiser for PCRF. ❤️ While our goal of $810 is symbolic, please know that there is no donation too small and no form of support insignificant.
