Sitting here going through different stages of anger and trying to figure out who to blame on the US Ryder Cup team. First thought is Keegan and leadership. No use of analytics. Setting the course too easy. Not making enough in game adjustments. Putting Kawa/English out TWICE. Then I started to blame the players. Scottie 0-4. Bryson 1-3. Nobody with more than 2 points. Can’t make any big time putts. Even when the Euros were slightly off this afternoon compared to the other 3 sessions, the team could only muster 1 point. In a do or die situation, 75% of the team failed. Then I realized who is actually to blame. The Euro players. What we saw from them the last two days has been the best golf I have ever witnessed. Every time the Americans hit a great shot, the Euros one upped them. It was incredible how many times this occurred in the first 16 matches. They out putted and out classed the United States. It was an incredible showing and something we may never see again. Literally unbelievable play from almost the whole entire team. Each time any Euro had a big putt, we knew it was going in and so did the American players. The Euro play took all the juice out of The fans and players. Pure domination. Not sure the outcome would be any different if Keegan made better calls or even if the Americans played 50% better golf.
