It's looking promising. We're still running some tests and making sure everything stays up, but (everyone cross fingers when I say this), things could be coming back.
One of our servers hit a snag and came back, but it could be jittery while we come back. We're aware of the issue and have a team working on it.
🙌 Let's get to work, everyone!
The "Top 100" lives!
Finally, a positive update to the mess that most search ranking tools had created after Google's num=100 debacle!
@mrspy & Team @spyfu seem to have cracked this.
Positions 1–100 can now be captured fully (SERP & history) with SpyFu.
This is quite an awesome feat, given that most rank tracking tools like @semrush and @ahrefs had thrown in the towel and tried to kind of gaslight us that positions 21-100 don't matter!
I guess as Mike puts it aptly in his post on LinkedIn, "if you give engineers (and an entire industry) an impossible challenge - especially if it's an efficiency/performance/cost-engineering type challenge - they tend to be able to rise to it. "
Kudos!
A mod on r/SEO, u/Weblinkr, has reportedly banned Mike Roberts the founder of @spyfu from the subreddit and deleted all posts and comments Mike has made over the past decade as well as banned mentions of his businesses there.
😡Someone is posting fake job postings with our name. Steer clear--it's a scam. We’d NEVER ask for payment to apply for a job or start working. Ever. If you’ve come across anything like this, please let us know so we can help shut it down.
Grab a spot. We'll see you there!
There's still time to sign up for today's launch event--see the biggest updates we've loaded into RivalFlow to make you rank higher, faster. streamyard.com/watch/wGR4jVf…
We were following two issues that seem to have been cleared up: paid keywords not loading and export to PDF hanging. Both are now back up.
We're starting to get alerts at SpyFu HQ that things are coming back online. That's EXCELLENT news. It's a steady process, so give it a few. Someone fire up a fresh pot of coffee for our dev team!
While on a call with our team, some of them had the site back 100% while it took a few tries for me. You might need to close any spyfu.com tabs and start anew to get a refreshed site.

We've made significant progress overnight. People that *have* slept are rolling it. So, we're continuing to improve. FYI, we have no data loss - but we lost the configuration of a super fancy, highly redundant storage infrastructure. 😅 Rebuilding involves enormous files.
If I had just waited 20 seconds to post...

Peeked in on the dev team slack channel and...they've been up all night working on recovery. So while it pains me that the site is still down, they're doing all they can to avoid any data loss when it returns. 🤞
I wish I had better news, but this is a significant outage. We expect to be down for the rest of the day. I'll post any updates as they come available. We appreciate your ongoing patience.
Checking back in since I haven't shared an update in a while. Still no ETA to share, but we are actively working on the issue.
