Every day I get up and fall face-first into a pancake makeup applicator. I try to wipe it away and in my blind confusion I shove a red ball onto my nose. I put on my new pair of shoes and find that I have mistakenly selected size 87 Wide. I turn on the tap but it's just seltzer
My main issue w/US sushi so far is that they keep thinking of the rice as an afterthought rather than like comfortably >50% of the final score

I called my Representative and Senators and told them that they should oppose Jeffries and Schumer for leadership roles. It took five minutes, please do the same.
Here's a simple script for you:
"Hello, my name is [your name, then spell it], I’m a constituent in [zip code]. I want [Representative/Senator Name] to oppose [Jeffries/Schumer] in leadership for the new Congress and support someone new. We need new blood and stronger leaders for this once in a generation opportunity that we have."
You can find your reps and their numbers here:

Vegan restaurants in Japan and Taiwan have a customer base of mostly white foreigners and tend to serve burritos, falafels, etc., but the places that made local foods (usually ramen) plant-based instead were invariably pretty stellar tbh

Full disclosure, I was ready to write OP off on this like I saw several people do. But, buried in the replies, OP does post their source for this and I highly suggest you read it, too. It's very sad and I had no idea this was a thing.

At this very moment, as I write this post, shells are falling on the eastern areas of Gaza City. The sounds are absolutely terrifying.
They have literally gone insane. Aircraft are flying at extremely low altitudes and the situation is incredibly difficult.
Talk about what is happening here. Share our voices. Make Gaza the world's headline again.
Small correction she actually said "Ish thiyush eyuff byee yai"
The New Yorker reached out to Haley Stevens for an interview.
She asked them if they were the FBI.
Full Story: bit.ly/4ezDFWn

ALT Screenshot of a New Yorker passage: Earlier today, we published a story about the fallout from a decision by Representative Haley Stevens to endorse the Republican U.S. Senate candidate in Michigan. After multiple interview requests went unanswered, we reached out to Stevens again on Tuesday in a text message asking to talk and identifying The New Yorker by name. 'Is this FBI,' she replied. (It was not.)

This is a stunning upset for so many reasons.
Members of UofM Board of Regents are typically from the state’s richest families and biggest party donors.
Amir not only unseated a regent in the primary who went after pro-Palestinian student protestors hard but now the lawyer who represented these students sits on the board of a major university. That’s a first.

Blue wave is great but please don't leave trans women and girls behind while you celebrate. Trans girl's rights were successfully taken away yesterday in several states, they're still here and deserve to be fought for.

The South is not a "lost cause". It's underorganized, underfunded, and relentlessly suppressed & gerrymandered. And despite it all, Black Southern voters have shown up anyway to be the conscience of this country throughout our history. I hope people realize that.

"Michigan, we did it!" @AbdulElSayed says as he takes the stage in Detroit. Crowd here going wild. El-Sayed, the first Muslim ever elected to the U.S. Senate, adds: "Tonight we can turn that inshAllah into an Alhumdullilah."

US servicemen have been physically assaulting and raping Japanese women and girls in Okinawa and across Japan for decades, and not only do most go unreported, those reported rarely have justice b/c the US military protects their criminals and ships them out to avoid punishment.
