Hyperco is closing.
MW Components was acquired, and the new owners are closing the Matthew Warren Spring plant in Logansport, Indiana. That plant is the home of Hyperco, and operations there end by the close of 2026.
Hyperco has already stopped taking any order that needs new production. Everything still for sale comes from stock that already exists, so once a rate and size runs out, that is the end of it.
There is a real record behind those springs. 56 Indy 500 winners in a row ran them. Jim Clark won Indy in 1965 on the coilover springs that became Hyperco. They were picked as the exclusive spring supplier for NASCAR's Next Gen car.
We still have Hyperco on the shelf: coilover springs, conventional springs, bump springs, helpers, and the hydraulic perch.

HKS just updated the Hipermax S. 🇯🇵
The new version is built around what HKS calls its Flat Ride Concept. It takes the edge off small bumps from the first bit of travel, and still keeps the car flat and settled through corners.
What's new:
- A redesigned needle that widens the damping range, with 30 levels of adjustment
- Shot-blasted aluminum upper mounts, pillowball or reinforced rubber depending on the car
- Inverted monotube design on strut cars
- New dust boots and stabilizer links

AccuAir just released the Endo tank with 1/4 inch NPT valve ports.
Hard line builders, this one is for you. Valves still inside the tank, screens and flow control carry over, ports now take a threaded fitting.
Black anodized is new too, on the Endo VT and the Endo T, in 3 and 5 gallon.
Happy Labor Day.
Today is for the people who build things. On the bench, on the dyno, and in the driveway with the car up on jack stands.
We're closed today and back Tuesday. The site stays open the whole time.
What's the first suspension part you'd actually upgrade on a street car?
Springs, dampers, sway bars, or bushings.
Curious how many people would start somewhere different if they were doing it over.

Brand and spring rate get all the attention. Valving is the part you feel every day.
How the damper is tuned for your car's weight decides whether it stays composed on a back road or gets busy over expansion joints.
Genuine question for the timeline.
If you're daily driving something lowered, are you on springs or coilovers?
Curious how the split looks. Both are right answers depending on what you want out of the car.
On a proper coilover, ride height comes from the lower mount, not from winding preload into the spring.
Two separate adjustments. Worth knowing before you set it.
Damping adjustment isn't just stiffness.
The spring controls how much the car moves. The damper controls how fast.
Turn damping up and the car settles instead of bouncing. It doesn't get harsher the way people expect.
Good dampers on softer springs beat stiff springs on cheap shocks almost every time.
