I have been doing some agentic coding for a while now at work. At times with examples like gas town I'm wondering if the community are — like Frieren — willingly climbing into the mimic. Sure you seem to produce something... but it's also AI psychosis turned into BS.

I do see a value as a software developer in writing software with agentic coding. But I keep running into places who have a bad time — that at the same time eschew established practices like unit tests etc. So it is all self inflicted pain… as in crawling into the mimic.

Tech lead suddenly messaged me "You’re a highly competent and skilled software developer, I expect you to solve this bug. MAKE NO MISTAKES!” I asked him what they meant and they replied back ”sorry wrong window”. Excuse me what!?

"Sverige kan inte vänta på talangerna" regeringen.se/t/598783/sv Kan Johan Forssell förklara varför vi utvisar talangerna på grund av arbetsgivarens misstag? Har en kollega som är ordförande för BRF och jobbar som utvecklare i Sverige som precis fått avslag av Migrationsverket.

Finally on a code base that uses #tailwind. … and it sucks in so many ways. * it’s difficult to find components because classnames don’t reflect what it is * you can’t do dynamic styles * etc. To remedy all that, make your own CSS classes. But why use tw at that point?!

I don't usually uninstall apps on my Mac but I just uninstalled MS Teams... because its Updater is broken and keeps nagging even when Teams is not open. Sigh... Well... at least I don't need it anyway, I mean the browser version works for me.
