this might be a hot take but i’m definitely on board with (social) constructs having essentially the same ontological status as ‘non-constructed’ things. that’s always felt intuitively true, so i don’t understand the push to diminish their value + status of constructed things?

@swapfiets markets themselves to international students and then fucks them over by charging them €40 in late fees (on a payment they tried to make months ago!!) that they cannot pay at all without a dutch bank account 🙃🙃🙃
I now owe €52 on a €12 charge (that I tried to pay in advance and was told I couldn’t), and it’s just gonna keep going up since I don’t live in the Netherlands anymore and they’ve given me no alternative way to pay. Very cool!!!!! @swapfiets
